I may have misinterpreted your post it came off like you were implying GSP was scared of Anderson coming down to WW which despite the talk I see zero possibility of it happening cause Anderson was a lot younger and carried a lot less muscle in his WW days.

Wow GSP is manning up for the first time, thats impressive. Also silva is not as big as every1 thinks, yeah hes tall but thats pretty much it,
His reach is 77.5 while GSPs is 77
Anderson does not weigh 220, thats his out of shape weight, he was weighing 198 in the octagon for the second sonnen fight, while GSP weighs 193-194 on fight night. Thats only a 5 pound difference at most, at catch weight GSP might even be heavier than anderson come fight night since he is one of the best weight cutters while anderson would have to cut more than his usual GSP can simply cut less weight
Also anthony johnson was a huge ass WW and kos schooled him with his wrestling, if GSP loses its not because of size, it will be because hes simply not as skilled.
Lets not forget that GSP has made a career out of beating smaller guys, his best wins are BJ and hughes...

GSP isn't really manning up, he doesn't want to risk his title also aren't there like a dozen contenders to the WW title right now. My guess is he's waiting for Diaz to come back and knock out the easier the contender (Kampmann?) to set up his big money fight.

I just don't get why people want this fight. At least one of them is going to be fighting at a weight they have not fought at for YEARS, if ever.
If I were a GSP fan this fight would scare me. Ok it's #1 vs #2 but it just so happens that the guy in the #1 spot is much bigger, and is #1 for good reason. He's well ahead of everyone, including GSP.
Forget star power and weigh up the fight, mismatch IMO and with so much on the line, why do it? Not interested.

I think GSP's coach should have kept quiet until after the Condit fight.

Its funny to see most hardcore fans think like this nowadays, i remember last year how there were huge debates about who would win and many thought GSP could beat anderson since he had the "wrestling and sub defense to do it" now just because hes been out for a while ppl think its a mismatch? Anderson doesnt use his strength anyway, he relies purley on striking technique, he also wont be able to stop GSPs TDs just because hes taller and its not like he would be the only 6 ft 2 WW in the world, ppl dot want to see it because anderson would KO him, even without the size advantage hes simply on another level and a wrestler cant beat him
Then they complain that he wont go up to fight JBJ...last i checked JBJ turned down the idea of fighting AS also, he said there was too much to lose in sponsers and legacy, that means hes afraid to lose also, if he wanted to fight AS he would call him out.

I bet if BJ said he'd only fight GSP at 163 he'd be called a ***** on here.
GSP can do no wrong though.

Agreed
I dont think it matters much which weight it would be at. They all end with anderson standing over gsp with the ref waving it off early in te fight.

I've never wanted to see Silva vs GSP and I don't want to see Silva vs Jones.

I must've missed GSP's two losses to Anderson Silva at 185.
When did those happen?
