Benavidez played football??? Demetrious ran track???

Did Benavidez really play varsity football? Did Demetrious really ran track? I don't mean to disrespect them, but I just don't understand how their frames are big enough for these sports? Benavidez wrestled at 103 in highschool, wouldn't a 5'4 103lb teenager be not big enough to play football? I don't know how heavy Demetrious was in high school, but even if he was 135lb at the very max and 5'4, wouldn't he still be not big enough to run track?

I gonna assume you are a troll or don't play sports. We are talking about high school level here. Dude if Darren Sproles,Spud Webb,Barry Sanders, Steve Nash all could be professions athletes at the highest level and dominate, I'm sure these two could have done the same on the high school level.

I didn't know there was a height requirement for track. Two years on the team and my coach never mentioned this to me. I always assumed that fast is fast no matter your height.

As for football, if you are fast and can hold onto a football, they will find a spot for you.

If you got to a small enough school you can play varsity football at that size... But a Big High School...No shot in hell your getting playing time. The smallest kid on our team was our kicker at about 5'6" 125".... Next smallest kid in weight was around 150 at CB...

Amazing that these people excelled in sports other than martial arts isn't it? Although track doesn't require any contact, I'm completely appalled that someone as small as Demetrious Johnson ran track. Because obviously, you must be a certain size to be able to run fast :l

UFC fighters, Athletes in HS? Who would have thunk it? Give me something like Mark Hunt competed in the Balance Beam, or Stefan Struve was at one time a jockey and then I'll be shocked.

Is the, being taller-longer legs-running faster a thing?
