I like that idea as well. I dislike it when champs only fight once or twice a year. You go and fight your ass off to become champion, and then all of a sudden fight a handful of fights for the next few years, and all you're doing is not giving the up and comers a good enough chance to have what you have.

This isn't complicated.
..... Yeah Anderson would HAVE to fight him if he went and beat a few guys as champion of this fake belt you are talking about, but in your parallel universe Chris Weidman is 13-0, not 9-0. And that's the issue, he's not a big name yet because he hasn't gone and beaten a bunch of contenders.

On the topic of conversation:

There is no need for a second belt, the interim belt system works well. If the champ is out for 6 months or longer then there should be an interim title fight ASAP.

Interim champions should have to defend their title if there is time before the real champion returns.

Champions should have to fight minimum 3 times per year if not injured.

Two belts... per division...in ONE org?

That's just... I don't get it. At all. It sounds ridiculous. Sounds like a glorified interim champ/number one contender to me and utterly pointless.

Horrible Idea. I want ONE champion. That's all. Otherwise, the belt loses value.

Lets just go with the Afro Samurai hierarchy. But instead of headbands, we use belts...

More belts, more weight classes and all fighters should have their own managers.

I say we need about 30 per division personally, then every fighter can be so happy and they've all achieved their dreams. And think of the cards! 8 championship fights per card! $$$$!!!
