I don't understand why people think he should have at the LHW title when all his fights have been at HW. Before he takes on Jones I want to see him against the best of the LHW division-Shogun, Machida, Henderson, Gus, Glover are all good tests for him in a weight class he has never fought in. Gifting him a title shot at LHW is crazy to me. I mean its like Cain dropping down and saying he deserves a shot because of his wins at HW.

Other than Overeem and Diaz, has anyone come across from Strikeforce and won decisevely?

We have only had Shields, Henderson, Overreem, and Diaz "come over". Shields before the buyout the other three after. Only Overreem and Diaz looked good but both got popped for illegal substances. So take that with a grain of salt.

Cormier is basically Hendo without back injuries so yeah, I wanna see him fight JDS or Jones or both.

Um... I may have missed a post or something but why is his fight with Mir taking place under the Strikforce banner? Has Mir been demoted? Or does it have something to do with a showtime contract and it's a one off for Mir?

By the by, I'm one of the few who actually thinks Mir is going to take this anyway.

Werdum has 2 dominations on his record after coming back.

One time deal only. Cormier had 1 fight left with Showtime and Mir was willing to step up. He'll be back in the UFC after the fights over.

Now if I am honest I would love to see Cormier beat Mir and then come to the UFC and fight straight away for the HW Title. However I can't help but feel that the win over Mir should grant him a shot. Now do not get me wrong Mir is a top level heavyweight but he is coming off a loss against the champ in a fight which he was originally not even going to have. In my honest opinion I would like to see JDS defend his belt against Cain and whilst that happens I would like Cormier to come over and possibly have a fight with Alistair to determine the new number one contender. As I do feel that Alistair/Cormier would be a great Number One contender fight.

33 isn't old when you have had only a few fights. He may have some wrestling wear and tear but he has no punching wear and tear on him. Hendo is 41. Anderson 38. Sonnen is what? 33? 33 is not old unless you are a Pride vet or are just a freak like Hendo.

And yea agree. Not sure if the other poster has watched him fight...but Bigfoot, Barnett, and Mir are about as good as it gets before the elite guys. Once Cormier destroys Mir he will have had a better resume than Cain did when he got a title shot. Way better.

I don't understand the point when so few have came over. All of the top guys have done well besides Shields.

2 out of the 4 top SF guys have won decisively. That isn't a bad %.
