It seemed like you were saying people dont like him because he smokes weed. Read your previous post again. I think thats were the confusion comes frm.

Umm no. Frankie did nothing to win the first fight. except score a couple of takedowns that did nothing and one knockdown.
Not to mention Frankie shouldn't have even been champion in the first place.

He's been repeating that same thing over and over again in multiple threads. Maybe he thinks that if he says it it enough times, it'll actually be true.

Hating Bendo for the two decisions against Edgar seems a bit backwards... How were they his fault?

This echoes my own thoughts. Although I felt Bendo just about won their first fight, Frankie definitely did enough to win the second fight.

I think Bendo has earned his title. He convincingly won the first fight with Edgar to me, and although I edged the second to Frankie, I knew that if Bendo got the decision it wouldn't be something to complain about.
There should be no comparrison however. Both guys seem to have very different personalities and fighting styles. Jon Jones is very unpredictable and naturally talented, while I feel that Bendo is very technical and knows every move that he's attempting. Bones is very arrogant, yet respectful at the same time, while I only see confidence and realism from Bendo (although granted I only really watch the pre-fight promos). Both are very different people and should be recognized as such.

How is that super cocky?
He wants to be considered the best fighter on the planet, and knows that to do that he needs to beat Anderson's streak of title defenses. So that's his plan.
Seems reasonable to me.

I don't think it's about what he is saying as much as how he is saying it. I don't dislike Bendo though so I'm just guessing.

LOL
People claiming Benson lost both fights.
First fight was clearly his.
Second fight might have gone either way, was much closer imo.
I had a friend of mine watching the second fight. He is not inot MMA or combat sports that much. He watches MMA fights occasionally. The next day after the fight he told me hhe thought Benson won that fight, hands down.
Don't know if this should mean annything, but coming from a very UN-BIASED person, who doesn't know name value and what happened in the first fight...or any other fight in the past involving these 2 fighters....it means something imo: just a very objective opinion. (for some, an un-educated one).
But i'm not sure what "educated" means on an Internet forum anyway...
PS: both Jones and Benson can be as cocky as they want...they've earned that right by being f*cking beasts......top of the food chain...nature's laws and all that s*it

I can see why your friend thought Benson won the 2nd fight. If you look at the "fight" as a whole, Frankie rarely wins. Apart from the few finishes he's got, he rarely ever commits to anything he throws. He's a typical point fighter and therefore doesn't cause as much damage as others. However, when they announced the score, I was pretty sure Frankie would be ahead on all judges score cards, and I was rooting for Bendo! If you score the fight round by round, Frankie was the one edging out more rounds than Benson, simple as that. However, the round that Benson won, I think he won more convincingly. He also caused visible damage. That's what people usually remember.
On topic, I believe some people dislike Bendo/Jones because they've got the perfect physique for their respective weight class, giving them a clear advantage sometimes.
The fact that they've been beating up everyones favourite fighters over the last couple of months doesn't help.
