Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen trash talking on Twitter
Quote:
Jon Bones Jones @JonnyBones
@sonnench the things you say about me hold absolutely no weight, you disrespected Anderson and his country but fought like a child.
Jon Bones Jones @JonnyBones
@sonnench If you're going to disrespect me out of nowhere, at least disrespect me to my face like a man.
chael sonnen @sonnench
@jonnybones Oh I plan too. Btw, how long did it take your parents to come up with your name, JON JONES.. #creative
Jon Bones Jones @JonnyBones
@sonnench and you call me a punk, I'm more man than you'll ever be. #Coward #Cheater
Jon Bones Jones @JonnyBones
@sonnench lol dude, you're not worth my time.. Earn a title shot instead of trying to talk your way into one and I'll be glad to hurt you
chael sonnen @sonnench
Advice to @jonnybones. Take some of that Nike money, hire new writers.
chael sonnen @sonnench
Boarding plane to Oregon now, home of your corporate wage masters. Next time you are in town, knock on my door. Don't drive. @johnnybones
Jon Bones Jones @JonnyBones
@sonnench lol you're an idiot if you think I haven't heard every dui joke in the book. I applaud original ones, that's powerless

Jon Jones is almost as outmatched in a war of words as Sonnen would be in the octagon.

Sonnens come backs were pretty terrible in this particular case though.

Lucky for Sonnen, he'll probably never work his way to a title shot against Jon Jones... Who would finish him within a round.

I'm a bit of a Sonnen fan and there's no way I want to see this fight Happen, as Killstarz says it probably wouldn't even last a round. There isn't one bit of wit between them in that exchange, poor effort by both.

Chael would last at least one round, then get his face pummelled in. And yeah, he'll probably get a title fight if he beats 2 guys at lhw, nobody else has the ability to hype a fight like him at lhw. Not by a long shot. A Jones Sonnen match would be interesting because Jones doesn't have the ability to KO Sonnen in one strike. I'd expect a lot of fencework and knees to Chael's face

Sure in a fight Jon Jones would take Sonnen. But he would be wise to avoid a war of words with him here. Bones comes across as pretty stupid when he is actually put on the spot and doesn't have his sporting cliches and managers material to splurt out in post fight interviews.

They were definitely lackluster, but it still reads like a childish grownup arguing with an actual child.

Assuming Sonnen beats Forrest, he'd then have to beat someone like shogun/Machida/Hendo/Rashad to even be considered for a title shot. I don't see him coming close to beating ANY of them... I even think he'd struggle with Rampage.
