The best all-around MMA fighter

Who do you think is the best all-around mma fighter in the world?

Fedor is definitly up there, but I think GSP is as well.

Guys that have great striking and can also hold there own very well on the ground.

i would say chuck liddell, we rarely see his ground game but he has a good one (not great but good), as of now i think he's a purple belt in bjj.

i would also say Nick Diaz, he got a good stand up with being an amatuer boxer and all and his great bjj skills

GSP.

In the past 2 years, he has beaten Sherk, Mayhem, Hughes, Penn, and Trigg. That, my friends, is a nice list of beaten opponents. One of those is considered the greatest WW of all time, and one of the best champions of all time.

Fedor is no doubt awesome, but his quality of opponents in the last 2 years doesn't compare. Sure, he beat Cro Cop, but after that he has beaten Zulu, a washed up Coleman, and Mark Hunt. Not exactly top quality, though it's not Fedor's fault.

GSP is up there, but Fedor takes the cake, followed by others like Dan Henderson, Randy Couture, ect. Yes GSP is all around great, but heres something to think about. Matt Hughes' wrestling/strength is stronger in that category then any one piece of GSP's game. Picture a heavyweight who has freakishly good striking, submissions, strength, reflexes, ect that are better than anyone elses in his weight class: you have fedor. There are welterweights who are better at some aspects of mma then GSP, and that is why he isnt as strong a fighter for his class as fedor is. When fighting crocop his striking was better, nogeira his submission defense the best out there, ect. When st.pierre fights matt hughes, i still beleive hughes is the stronger man, but when fedor fights anyone, hes got every advantage over his opponent.

Damone I think this is the first time Ive ever disagreed with you. GSP cant even hold Fedors jock strap yet. Hes getting extremly overrated to be honest. Fedor cant really help it hes already beaten everyone there is to beat.

GSP is about the the number 5 p4p fighter IMO and Fedor is number one without question head and shoulders above the rest. If I had to say the best all around fighter other than Fedor it would definatly be Shogun then GSP and BJ tied for 3rd.
