I cant see it being an easy win for Maynard, i even think Lauzon might outbox him in there and force Maynard to grapple.

Lot of mixed opinions in here. I honestly don't see a lay and pray situation here with JLau's active guard and I think Maynard is going to try to keep it on the feet. Really want to see if his striking has improved from his time down at Novo Unaio since we didn't get to see anything in the Guida fight. Hoping for a good scrap though, should be a fun one.

LMFAO who are you talking about Jenns or Melvin? Neither fighter is a better striker than Frankie Edgar, Seriously deluded statement there.

You best look up his record b/c I don't remember him putting away anyone else with stand-up skills remotely close to Maynards.

P.S. you might want to look up Grays record as well, then tell me who has faced better strikers IMO its not even debatable but I guess different strokes for different folks.

Yea neither of those guys are better than Frankie. But what does that have to do with Maynard?

Oh that is right, Maynard landed a couple on Frankie's chin in the opening round of 2 fights and that all of a sudden makes him a legit striker. Right! Good Math!

Maynard used to be a bad striker. Now I consider him a pretty average striker.

Guillard and Jens Pulver from those days would both out-strike Mayanrd if there was no wrestling involved. In my opinion.

Dropped Guillard and straight KO'd Jens. One of the more explosive strikers at LW and a guy who beat Penn and was a UFC LW champ. I thought my answer was obvious but I guess not. Both in my opinion are comparable or more dangerous than Maynard. So in my opinion it isn't out of the question that Joe could rock Maynard sometime in the 1st round. He is capable.

Maynard's striking is so insanely overrated...

Maynard's striking better than Guillards? Wow...

J-Lau is 100% capable of catching Maynard in a flash sub and has the power to flash KO him as well. I see this as a pretty intriguing fight, and while I think Maynard should be favored, he shouldn't be a huge favorite. Very dangerous fight for him.

He has power...guess that makes you a better striker than the guy who rocked Cerrone to his core and has destroyed other good strikers like Dunham, Siver and Roller
