I was just responding to your confusion. Because you clearly didnt understand what i was getting at.

Just like i never said you "dont" want him to be inducted. I get the feeling you just like creating meaningless arguments. No offense intended...
He doesn't belong in the UFC HOF, unless he is being put in there for his MMA career, in which case they should add Sakuraba, Fedor, etc, but they are not, cause it's a UFC only HOF, of which Henderson has done little to nothing in.

My point is, even though he doesn't deserve it, I don't really care - put him in, don't put him in, it doesn't matter to me.

But i was never talking about whether he belongs in the UFC based on his current UFC achievements.

Anyway just forget it...

You misunderstood my post and it created this meaningless discussion. No reason to continue arguing non existent points.

Henderson's achieved a lot in his MMA career; he's pretty much a legend in my eyes. His defeat of Fedor pretty much solidified his legacy as one of the greats.

They should just make an MMA HOF. I don't really care about the UFC HOF, because any HOF that doesn't count fights in Pride or any other short-lived major org is useless.

Something like this (must be 30 to be eligible):

HW:
Fedor Emelianenko
Mirko Cro Cop
Minotauro Nogueira
Igor Vovchanchyn

LHW:
Chuck Liddell
Randy Couture
Tito Ortiz
Shogun Rua
Wanderlei Silva

MW:
Anderson Silva
Dan Henderson

WW:
Georges St. Pierre
Matt Hughes
Royce Gracie

LW:
BJ Penn
Takanori Gomi

Only the best and brightest get in. Bones, Aldo, and Cruz are on pace to qualify. Guys like Belfort, Franklin and Machida are fringe cases. Shamrock, Severn, Sakuraba and Coleman type guys are just kind of before MMA was MMA and didn't have the impact Gracie did.

Meh. I don't see why not. There certainly isn't a big enough difference in their credentials to justify such a rude remark. He was on the losing end of his two biggest rivalries and his best wins are against Bas Rutten. Doesn't exactly jump off the page.

Vovchanchyn has a much better record and was considered the best fighter in the world for a while.

Igor's best win is.........an injured 190lb Sakuraba.

WOOO!

Igor is nothing more than an overrated can crusher who lost to almost every good or even average fighter he ever fought sans Mark Kerr.

He never achieved a single thing in the sport as far as tournament wins or championships, there a laundry lists of other HWs that not only are historically greater, but actually beat him head to head.

Ken Shamrock's streak of dominance is still one of the most dominant streaks ever in the sport, dude was a multi-time Fighter of the Year. Held what was essentially the "UFC Title" at the time, since there was no weight classes. King of Pancrase. Several strong tournament finishes, etc.

Shamrock is MMA royalty.

Igor is an afterthought only remembered by tryhards.

He's basically the HW equivalent of Caol Uno...except probably worse.

When they induct Sakuraba, Fedor, Cro-Cop, Gomi, Bas Rutten, Frank Shamrock, I'll be more than happy to support it.

If we are simply talking about "UFC" HOF (which we are, I realize), then Dan does not on any level deserve it, he had 2 title fights (he won the titles outside of the UFC, not in it), lost them both, got a few wins over Shogun and Franklin, and that's been it. Which makes the HOF even more ridiculous.

I don't think he should be in it. He may be a legend of the sport, but he's not a legend of the UFC.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.
