Some of these guys seem to be pretty horrible with money... I'm not saying that any of the recent happenings are alright, but living from pay-check to pay-check is not a good way to live.

They've had 12 hours to sell tickets for that fight(Machida/Jones). It was booked...that's what the word means and seats are still available. If it wasn't booked you couldn't buy tickets for the fight.
But you are just going to ignore definitions of words and facts call me crazy and whatever.
s'all good.

Dude do you not ******* realize that the fight was moved to 152??? You can buy TICKETS because the event already existed and they are just adding a fight. You are buying tickets for the 152 event which you always could have been and not just Jones/Machida fight. Then later Dana Decided he will rename it to 151 in order to not skip a number.
You are just going to keeeeeep being wrong arnt you?
s'all good.

Actually the UFC engaged in a minor but still legal form of Fraud. Machida can sue the UFC they used his name to sell tickets before getting his approval for any of these fights. The UFC misrepresented Machida and then profited from it...that's very very bad.
Their is so much going on, it's sad how blind hatred you have for Jones is casting a pallor on this exciting and fascinating day.

They didnt do anything wrong.
Its crazy how obsessed you are by trying to be right about ANYTHING at this point that you are willing to argue anything. And the sad part is you are always wrong.
The UFC thought they were going to have Machida vs Jones because of what Soares (Machidas manager) told them. Then Machida told them that he isnt accepting the fight. Did the UFC jump the gun??? Yeah maybe. Did they do anything illegal. No.. (Well maybe, i dont know enough about the law to say one way or another.. but who cares. You are just skipping points again as you ALWAYS do).
They were just attempting to get this mess under control.
But your original assumption that tickets for the event went available because their fight was booked is wrong. Tickets for 152 have been available for a while now.
Dana said that Machida "Turned down the fight". That means he was offered it and turned it down. If he signed to fight Jones then he cant turn it down anymore... he can only back out.

WHO CARES the UFC just violated Machida's rights and your rights as fan. And did so blatantly this is yet another contract violation and they took money from people. And they used Machida to get money from other people when they didn't do the least they could (ask Machida).

They went from defaulting on dozens of contracts to committing fraud and misrepresenting Lyoto Machida.

I don't know what this has to do with anything I'm saying. But Dana used Machida to sell a fight, he used his likeness, his name, and this chaos to make money and if he didn't even ask Machida and did it anyways this could also be the impetus for a lawsuit.

So im showing you how your original point is wrong. The fight was never "Booked". Machida never signed on the dotted line.
Quit trying to change the point so you can somehow look right. You have changed points about 20 ******* times.
And are you a lawyer?? Like i said i dont know if they violated anything or not. And im sure that you dont either. We have no idea what is in the fighters contracts and if they violating anything there. My guess is since the fighters Manager approved it that the UFC was within rights to do what they did. TICKETMASTER and STUBHUB still kept UFC 152 the way it originally was. UFC 152 Tickets - Benavidez vs Johnson and not Jones vs Machida II

This is what the word "booked" means
Quote:
booked, book·ing, books
v.tr.
1. To list or register in or as if in a book.
2.
a. To record charges against (a person) on a police blotter.
b. Sports To record the flagrant fouls of (a player) for possible disciplinary action, as in soccer.
3. To arrange for (tickets or lodgings, for example) in advance; reserve.
4. To hire or engage: The manager booked a magic show for Saturday night.
5. To allocate time for.
v.intr.

The UFC claimed Jones/Machida was going to happen people could take that information and purchase tickets. Machida never agreed to this fight but the UFC used Machida for commercial purposes. The UFC never had the right to use Machida to sell to promote this fight.
Dana White and the UFC have now violated Lyoto Machida's rights they could be subject to a series of legal consequences. Machida has now been libeled, he could lose endorsements because fans think he pussied out. He could also receive death threats from some crazy person, I hear the internet has quite a few of them. He could even be sued for what they did if people think he conspired with the UFC to perpetrate this fraud.
This isn't some obscure law it's the sort of thing that's been around in America forever.
Your so bent out of shape over me and Jon Jones you're the missing this new big story...the UFC may have just broken several laws and trampled Machida's rights.

John, do you think Machida's really going to sue under these circumstances. The UFC is under heavy duress trying to salvage the situation to make the fans (you and I) happy.
