LOL @ posting a 2 second GIF and ignoring that the fight was nearly two rounds!

Chael Sonnen wins a round, and wins the bulk of the second before slipping, being hit by a beautiful knee, and then finished. Vitor gets KOed by a front kick within the first quarter of the first round. Yeah... I'd say Sonnen had the better showing.

This is no longer worth addressing. Classic case of blind bias.

Totally agree. The reason his victory in the second fight was so impressive was because he got his ass kicked in the first round. I'm not impressed with the idea that Silva walk through Sonnen. He didn't.

As I've said before, I like Sonnen/Vitor/Machida/Gustaf all better then the Hendo match-up, so no complaints from me.

Jackson is very professional, I think he doesn't work off of common sense but protocol :/ it must be frustrating for guys like Dana who see things from a business stand point where you have to be a critical thinker.

Who cares how many rounds the second Sonnen fight was, he got his ass whooped in that second round, turtled up and was brutally finished. That's really all that matters.

You shouldn't ever, EVER get a title shot coming off a loss, unless it's under completely ridiculous and desperate circumstances (i.e. Jones not having a suitable replacement for 151).

There is absolutely no way Sonnen deserves a shot at Jones more than Vitor at this point. I'm sorry, but it's the truth, you don't get a shot at the title after getting destroyed in your last fight (which was also for a shot at the gold). Simple as that.

Just to see where you're coming from, I'm just going to re-watch and analyze the fight. Then comment later in this post briefly how the fight went.

Just watched the first round. Chael takes him down in the first 5 or so seconds, lands a good 6 - 7 potentially damaging shots. Other than than, pitter-patter punchs and knee's. Does little, if not, any damage in the first rd. So I'll give you this, we wins round one.

Chael won no part of the second round. All Chael did was clinch for a while (doing no damage), Throw missing punches, and go for unsuccessful takedown attempts before getting hit standing up, and throwing a dumbassed desperate attempt of a spinning back fist. Then...well...you know the rest...

Sonnan didn't really do any damage to Anderson and while Vitor didn't do any either, does it really matter who did what against Anderson when they both just ending up getting their asses kicked? A loss is a loss, and a win is a win.
