Yes I realize that's the case (For the most part) hence leaving the discussion meaningless...

Everyone knows a giraffe is taller than a rabbit, why talk about it?

I think Cain has a very high chance of winning this fight granted that he doesn't fight at distance like he did the first fight. Terrible game planning imo. He's very good with knee's in the clinch and I think he should use that as a stepping stone to taking JDS down. We haven't seen JDS off his back very often, but I doubt he'll be able to submit Cain. This is in no way, shape, or form a gaurentee win for JDS provided Cain uses a smarter game plan.

JDS has a LONG, LONG way from being even considered a GOTY contender. I honestly can't even think of anything at the moment that would consider me putting him in the running.

Well it isnt always clear who the best heavyweight of all time is, hence this question. Better luck next time eh.

I think a prime Fedor and Cro Cop would easily beat Cain and JDS respectively, hell a prime solid chin Nog and mark hunt may have beaten cain and JDS respectively, Fedor will always be number 1 P4P and GOAT imo. But JDS does have a spot with the elite if he carries on the way he is going.

First of all - please refrain from double posting mate.

Second of all I think you will find quite a few people who disagree with you on Fedor, Cro Cop and so on beating JDS in their prime... The game has evolved a LOT since their day and comparing the greats of the past with the greats of today is simply impossible for that very reason

Cro Cop is a kickboxer, he fares well in a ring because he can cut you off easily and back you into a corner.

Everyone talks a lot of shit but in reality, Cro Cop came to the UFC in his prime, he'd just beaten Barnett and become GP champion and he also just KOed Wanderlei.

Eddie Sanchez is a complete can, same with Perosh, Al-Turk and Pat Barry (Who would have won had he not broken his hand and foot). And Napau is no world class striker.

Cro Cop and the octagon just aren't good friends.

Also nobody ever talks about this anymore but Cro Cop went to dream after Kongo beat him and won a few fights in a ring before coming back to the octagon to lose to every good fighter he would fight until his retirement.

The guy was an icon and I loved him in Pride, but like Wanderlei and Shogun aswell, the ring suits his style a lot better than the octagon does.

Say he beats Cormier and Overeem. I'd rank him over Fedor as the best HW ever. At least by the quality of his opponents.

Rauno there's an easy argument for Werdum (beat Fedor), Cain, Carwin and Mir being atleast on par with Cro Cop, Big Nog, Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman.
