I think the UFC will be restructuring their contracts from now on with stipulation that if incase of opponent being injured and you are being promoted as one of the headliners on the poster. You can either fight the replacement or paid a fine to reimburse promotional funding or something along those roots.

I am sure UFC will be now looking to protect their own assets after an incident like this since they are still trying to shut down the internet from PPV being streamed online and so on. You know how they are as promotional freaks.

In the end, the losers are the people that risk vacations and time off to see a UFC as nowadays 'nothing is for sure' as who is fighting with all the injuries.

I think fighters needs to trains smarter and not harder.

Jones bitched out of a scheduled fight date after having 3 months to prepare. All because there was a change of opponents to a 185er who had no training camp.

What do you not understand??

Dont think raking up fights like the one against Rashad at 205 five years ago has any relevance to his current form. Or the Hendo of Wanderlei fights, not that there's anything wrong with losing to any of those guys. Comparing his performance in a split decision loss to Chael with Stann's performance, you'd have to say he's up there with the big boys of the division. I think there are a hell of a lot more people willing to admit that after taking the Sonnen fight on 8 days than there were before.

I think Sideways pretty much summed up my thoughts on the Jones situation.

I'm pretty much done arguing at this point. This whole thing will blow over, and Jon Jones will continue to kick ass, shutting everybody up.

I slammed jones for this a few days ago, but now I have a change of heart. You guys are all chatting s****. Yeah jones took a fight on 2 weeks notice against shogun, but he had nothing to lose back then, and look what happened to shogun. Jones is probably one of the most talked about fighters in the UFC ever, he had just got sponsored by Nike, he's the light heavy weight champion and he had all that to lose. Ime a big Sonnen fan, and yeah he hadn't trained for a fight, and yeah he might of got destroyed but what happens if he had won?. Jones had to much to risk on taking a fight he hadn't trained for, a different fighter, and a fighting coming of a lose in a completely different devision. Jones has still accepted a fight in 3 weeks time, has anyone give him credit for that.

This was the ufc's fault for such a lame card, and when Dana couldn't fix the problem and let the fans down he through the blame onto jones. Hendo has knew about the injury for 3 weeks, why didn't he give the UFC a little heads up that maybe he wouldn't be able to fight?.

Diaz..Edgar.. Cormier.. Cain.. Mir.. Overeem.. Jon Jones

Eh...its not so black and white to me, Jones might be a better wrestler but Bisping has some of the best takedown defense at mw and great hip escapes from the bottom. Jones hasnt fought that kind of takedown artist. Evans is not bad at it but he didnt really seem into that fight after the elbows, nor did he seem to want to wrestle.

I think jones is being used as a bit of a scape goat. The whole thing has been handled terribly and the UFC really need to look at their handling of the situation. Particulary as was suggested the injurynwas known about 3 weeks ago. It should never been allowed to come to a fighter having to take a fight on a weeks notice.. However, it seems much easier for them to blame someone that trying to focus their energies on preventing this to happen.

With regard to jones turning down the fight. Whether people like it not this is jones, profession and job. I would suggest for the top guys like jones, this stopped being a sport sometime ago and as such they look at it differently to us fans who see it as a sport. Most of us in our careers do what is best for us, jones ain't any different.

I personally thought he should have taken the fight as he would have won. However, I'm not the guy the could potentially blowing millions by a defeat..

Like another poster I think this will all blow over in a few months. Think people in main are just looking for an excuse to hate.

Do you get paid well to take finals every few months? Is that your full time job?

Sorry friend, but your analogy is not valid.
