(Sounds even worse when i type it all out haha)

That is still Chael training for 3 weeks compared to Jon Jones 10-12 weeks.

So Jones would still be in a boat far exceeding that of Chaels.

And yeah i agree with you completely.
Yep. I feel like Jones and his camp have done a great PR job. From they way they've been talking it's as if Chael is some kind of super unstoppable behemoth that should strike fear into the hearts of gods. Dont get me wrong, Sonnen is a very impressive MW. He'll no doubt make a very impressive LHW... But we are talking about Jon fecking Jones here. If anybody in the UFC is an unstoppable beast it's him. The fact that he's fully coiled and ready to fight right now makes him a terrifying prospect for any fighter. Anybody thinking Chael has nothing to lose is tripping. He has to go in there and fight this beast.

I don't care about Jones training being geared towards Hendo. He's going to be sharp and ready for anything. Theres only so much training you can do on specifics without leaving yourself exposed in other areas. If Bones has not been training any TDD that makes him and Greg Jackson a pair of idiots. I refuse to believe it. How many times have we heard fighters saying they train to be prepared for absolutely anything. Jones has been training double leg defence, of that I have no doubt.

Yup exactly. And Chael is actually probably one of the easier fights for Jones because Chael isnt going to knock him out or submit him. The only way Chael can win that fight is by grinding out a 5 round decision. Which obviously is not going to happen. Jon Jones wrestling is 10x better then Andersons and Anderson was able to stuff a few shots of Chael.

Greg Jackson did a great job trying to save some face.

Yea....to my recollection Sonnen is 205er now....his first scheduled match up is this Dec if you didn't know....

It's a simple mistake but I forgive you

Yeah exactly in DECEMBER. Over 4 months away. Iv still not seen Chael Sonnen step on that weight scale and solidify himself as a 205er. He is currently bulking up so he CAN be a 205er.

Jon Jones makes Rampage look like he is in a lower division. I dont even want to know how much bigger he would be then Chael if they faced off.

its a simple mistake so i forgive you.

Yeah jones took a fight on 2 weeks notice against shogun, but he had nothing to lose back then, and look what happened to shogun. Jones is probably one of the most talked about fighters in the UFC ever, he had just got sponsored by Nike, he's the light heavy weight champion and he had all that to lose. Ime a big Sonnen fan, and yeah he hadn't trained for a fight, and yeah he might of got destroyed but what happens if he had won?. Jones had to much to risk on taking a fight he hadn't trained for, a different fighter, and a fighting coming of a lose in a completely different devision. Jones has still accepted a fight in 3 weeks time, has anyone give him credit for that.

This was the ufc's fault for such a lame card, and when Dana couldn't fix the problem and let the fans down he through the blame onto jones. Hendo has knew about the injury for 3 weeks, why didn't he give the UFC a little heads up that maybe he wouldn't be able to fight?.

Excellent Point. It surprises me that the UFC would act so irrational. I know Jones is the main attraction but his contract was to fight Henderson and no one else. It's not his fault the injury occured and he wanted more time to prepare for a different opponent.

Well, then Jones is clearly not the best LHW in the UFC and doesn't deserve the belt. What exactly is wrong with that?

Of course Jones has lots to lose... hes the fecking LHW champion! When you are at the top, the only way is down. Live with it.

Bones had a chance to retire Chael Sonnen in one week. To silence him once and for all... and he didn't take it. I am disappointed.

Sorry friend, but your analogy is not valid.
I think you might be a little slow, but I'll simplify for you.

To get a job today you need either connections or education. Lets choose education for the purpose of this example.Education requires (time, energy, money, and sacrifice) similar to a figher. To get into the best school you need to do extremely well on test. Therefore If my aspiration is to attain a certain job (lets say physical therapist) I need to take certain classes. So in the long term yes I am getting paid to take classes.

Oh but you must have forgotten that Chael began his career as a successful LHW winning multiple championships in different organizations. But saw he couldn't cut it in the UFC divison so decided to see if size advantage at Middleweight would be better.

It's okay boy I know your trying tho.

When you're out of school and in the real world you'll have more grown up experiences to compare with and you won't be so confused.

keep studying

Question, I do realize that the main card have a chance to get performance bonuses (fotn, sotn, kotn) but do the prelim cards get performance bounses?
