Is he better than Cormier?

Is he likely to beat JDS?

Cain will never fight Cormier so it is almost pointless comparing them.

I don't believe Cain can beat JDS

JDS is quick like a cat and drops laser accurate bombs. On top of that, the dude is hard as heck to take down.

Cain isn't beating JDS.

Cain shot for a takedown on a one legged JDS and got knocked out in 64 seconds, can someone please explain the appeal of this rematch to me? Cain may last longer but the end result is gonna be the same, Junior putting his lights out.

JDS, Hunt and Overeem are the best HW strikers in the world. Cain and Cormier are arguably the best wrestlers at HW but Cain is still young and is constantly improving all the time.

The MMA world will definetly see an improved Cain against JDS because of potential and athleticism. For me JDS has also improved but not at the level of Cain who is still learning at a rapid rate and destroying every opponent except his JDS loss.

Cains boxing technique is actually great offensively but Im sure he has trained extensively on his defence which is paramount against JDS.

Yes Cain will be champion...but no he won't beat JDS or Cormier. Cain will be the first man to defeat Jon Jones in the octagon at 205.

I don't see Cain ever getting the title back, he is an great fighter and he is absolutely good enough to win it, that said Andrei Arlovski is absolutly good enough to still be fighting in the UFC. They have a common trait and that is the inability to take a solid shot. Cain is an absolute beast and if he can take JDS down early I wouldn't doubt he could beat him down in one round but I think JDS is always gonna be to accurate and have to good of TD defense to let that happen.

i wouldnt say he can't take a shot he got caught once afaik and JDS landed clean. That said i still think JDS has better boxing. Id like to see if cain could go down to light heavy, hes not a huge ripped HW.
