I've been a backer of Jones for a very long time now, and I have to admit it's becoming harder and harder not to see what everyone else sees. Did he really have to word the first tweet in such a way? How can he not realize how that sounds!?! Eh, I may need a minor sig update in my LHW section pretty soon..

I agree that I like Jones less pretty much every time he opens his mouth, but this is not all on him.

The UFC is responsible for putting together cards now that can't survive the loss of a single fight. If you want to put together such top heavy cards, obviously it's possible you could lose the main event and lose the card. Don't put together single fight cards and you don't have this problem.

Well if the main event was scrapped due to Jones getting injured then no one would be upset at Jones. Truth is the fight was scrapped for a bullsht reason that would have mattered to no one except Jones. How you can predict something like that is beyond me. Its definitely the first.

If Jones was injured instead of Henderson then Someone else would replace Jones and we would have Henderson vs "Replacement". Since Henderson like everyone else would never do something so unexpected as pull out after having a 3 month training camp.

Yeah, but from the perspective of cancelling the card, it doesn't matter whether it was a bs reason or not. The point for me is, the card obviously could not survive the loss of the main event. Thats not Jones fault, that is on the UFC. If the card had any depth, they would not have to cancel it, regardless of the reason for Jones pulling out.

The UFC took the risk of a very top heavy card, and they paid for it. Some of it is on Jones, but some of it is on them. Dana can point fingers all he wants, but make sure to save some of the blame for yourself.

When taking one for the team, it doesn't work if you announce that you're taking one for the team. You have to just say, "This was my decision and my fault." No more qualifications.

I agree. It's really the UFC's fault for not having a solid co-main event that could have been bumped up to main event.

Dana threw Jones under the bus and Jones should have defended himself properly by doing a video interview with Ariel or Karyn. He should've explained WHY he felt uneasy about taking a short notice fight with Sonnen. If he was afraid of Sonnen's wrestling, takedowns, or fighting a south paw, he should have said it. Most of us (rational fans) would understand.

As of today, he has not explained why he turned down the fight. Until then, most fans will think that he didn't have a good reason to turn down the fight.

Ive always been a bit confused when one person calls another a 'hater'.

Are we still considered 'haters' when the person in question gives us numerous reasons to hate them?
I thought 'haters' just hated without reason or hated out of envy or something. Or maybe Im wrong?

What are our other options here? Be indifferent? Go about it as if we're numb to everything? "Well, I dont have opinions on anything. I just use my eyes to see but my brain doesnt process anything"

What else? Just love him because he's so much like Jesus with his cross? Jones can do no wrong!

I am kind of curious to know if the expression 'hater' is reserved for those who are jealous or hate for the sake of hating, or just anybody who hates even if given a reason.

Because I hate the smell of fecal matter...so, I guess Ive been a hater since Im a baby.
