He outwrestled Davis.

And while Anderson is an even more accurate and elusive striker than Machida, his TDD isn't as good (though obviously he's no slouch, as the Sonnen fight showed.)

Anderson is the best MMA fighter in the world, but I think Rashad may have the best chance of of beating him out of anyone in the UFC (with the possible exception of GSP.)

ETA: Am I the only one who would absolutely love to see Machida vs Anderson? I know it's not happening, but still.

I love this fight, it's the number 1 silva fight I want.
Rashad could do OK but I see him getting KOed. He's still the biggest test there is for Silva right now IMO.

Evans is one of my favorite fighter, but Anderson Silva will destroy him easily. Can any of you picture Evans's wrestling for 25 mins without getting tempted to trade with SIlva?

Ok. When the guys visualize Rashad winning a match with Anderson they see a 5 rounds Rashad on top of Anderson right? Anderson x Sonnen 1 like? Because I can't see any other way he would pull a win and Rashad's wrestling is nowhere near Sonnen's.

He can't trade with Anderson, he can't submit Anderson, what is left for him? (All that on paper, of course)

I said it for a while but it probably doesn't mean much when I say it. Rashad can and will beat Anderson, and it'll probably look boring. Rashad has REALLY good top control on top of having one of the top 3 double legs in the UFC.

He's a smart guy, I seriously doubt he would try to stand with Anderson much. He stood with Machida and learned that lesson, now he picks and chooses when he wants to stand. He stood against Jon Jones probably for different reasons, like being comfortable with his style and what not.

Besides that, I think Rashad could grind him for 5 rounds. Rashad isn't some weak chinned guy that goes to sleep with a jab, the dude has a monsterously good chin that is severly overrated for reasons I don't know.

It took a million and a half shots from Machida to put him out, and then NO ONE ELSE has finished him. Not Thiago Silva, not Rampage, not Jon Jones. They all hurt Rashad, but couldn't finish him.

Anderson could finish Rashad, but the later the fight goes, the more I see it favors Rashad. Just my .02

Rashad need to move to 185 if he wants Anderson. You can't call out a champion of a division you've never fought in before unless you are a champion.
