Rashad Evans wants Anderson Silva at 185!!
Quote:

If the UFC offered him Anderson Silva at 185 right now today, he would go and fight Anderson Silva at 185. The UFC is not offering him Anderson Silva at 185 today, so that's not something that's going to happen. So that's all Rashad ever meant,” Robinson clarified recently on MMAWeekly Radio.

How epic would a #1 contender-ship between shad and wiedman be?!!!
My money would be on shad for contender-ship but silva would murder him with striking if they actually fought.
Shad vs vitor or shad vs sonnen sound appetizing too.

Rashad beats Anderson, especially at 205.
Pretty sure he's not fighting any of them though, he just needs to stay at 205.

Yep because Rashad is known for remembering he's a wrestler and for his track record against elusive, pin point strikers.

You've not seen him fight since 2009 have you? It's okay, judging from the Chris Weidman threads you're not the only one who doesn't watch the fights.

Rashad would get KO'd. Bad. He would be so afraid to commit. His striking defense is pretty bad, he gets wobbled by 1 shot often. Silva would have 5 rounds to land something.
It would be cool though, I'm down for anything new at 185 and Rashad really should move down. He is a beefy wrestler, he should be able to do it.

Rashad will beat Anderson Silva. I have been saying it and I am sticking to it. If Rashad moves down, he owns 185.

I've seen all of Rashad's fights and nothing he has done makes me think he beats Silva. I think he - just like every other fighter that was supposed to beat Silva - loses.

It is an interesting fight to say the least. The thing that sticks out in my mind is AS finally showing some TDD in the Sonnen II fight. I think Rashad may win a round or two, but in the end I think Anderson Silva will win via KO.
