Anderson Silva: I値l Be Rooting For Vitor Belfort Against Jon Jones At Ufc 152

This was an interesting revelation. Very intrigued.

What are your thoughts here... Perhaps a msg to the current champ or simply doing what all Brazillians do in showing solidarity.

With all the commotion surrounding its creation, the UFC 152 main event between Jon Jones and Vitor Belfort has become the main topic of conversation in the MMA world.

Even UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva has become involved in discussion of the matchup during a round of recent media appearances in Brazil. On Monday, 典he Spider gave his analysis of the 205-pound title fight -- which takes place Sept. 22 in Toronto -- during an edition of the SporTV program 釘em, Amigos!

的t痴 difficult, because Jon Jones has a larger-than-normal wingspan and he痴 still very young, Silva said when asked what Belfort needs to do in order to win the title. 滴e痴 still in the phase where he痴 playing during the fight, really, but he doesn稚 have the responsibility of a champion.

滴e fights with delight, jokingly, striking like I did back in 1930, when I started, joked Silva. 天itor has a great chance to defeat him. The biggest factor for Vitor is to use his explosiveness and his jiu-jitsu, where he is very good. But I think when one of them makes a mistake, the other will end up striking.

Silva admitted that his opinion is slightly biased, since he値l be cheering for his countryman to win come fight night, despite having a good relationship with his fellow UFC champ.

鄭s a Brazilian, I値l be rooting for the Brazilian, even though I have a very good friendship with Jon Jones, said Silva. 展henever I知 with him, I ask him to conduct his career in a different way, because he is very young and is always asking me something. But I値l be rooting for Brazil, yes. May the best man win, but I知 rooting for Brazil.

Answering a fan-submitted question, Silva also laid to rest the rumor of he and Jones squaring off in a super-fight any time soon.

展e池e in different weight classes and there are teammates from Team Nogueira who may face him, Silva said, referring to ex-champ Lyoto Machida. 展e have a code of conduct in our team, and I respect that a lot.

Marcus Aurelius: Tell me again, Maximus, why are we here?
Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

I get a little scared everytime I'm reminded of Jones' age... Being so good at such a young age is incredble, no matter how much of a douche people may think he is.

Also, good on Anderson for cheering on Belfort - Also Belfort beating Jones would make Anderson look quite good

He's pulling for Belfort because he wants to eliminate Bones's name from the P4P discussion, and people will stop hounding him about fighting Bones. Nothing to note here.

He's pulling for Belfort because the guy's blood in made from green, yellow and blue. I see no reason for Silva to fight Jones so I don't get why people bring it up constantly.
