Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara On Deck for UFC 154 in Montreal

Quote:
Patrick Cote was gunning to face an Axe Murderer next but instead gets Legionarius.

Following his return to the UFC in July, Patrick Cote had been hoping to land a fight with Wanderlei Silva, but ultimately the orgnaziation opted to go another route.

Instead, Cote will face heavy hitting Italian slugger Alessio Sakara at UFC 154 in Montreal.

UFC officials announced the new bout on Friday.

In his return fight to the Octagon, Cote lost by decision to Cung Le in a stand-up battle, and now looks to return to form when he faces Sakara in November.

Sakara will also try to erase the thoughts of his last fight, a knockout loss to Brian Stann from Aprilís UFC on Fuel 2 show.

Cote vs. Sakara will be part of the UFC 154 undercard headed to Montreal on November 17.

I thought he was already scheduled to fight Wandy, but guess the UFC had different thoughts on that bout. Anyways, he should be able to beat Sakara imo.

I thought for sure Sakara would retire after his last fight. His chin just can't take it anymore. Maybe he'll retire after Cote knocks him out.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

Cote is the only one with a chin comparable to Hendo's. Cote will win via KO.

Sakara is going to get knocked out............ again. Two guys who only ever strike, Weak Chin vs Iron Chin, doesn't take a genius does it.

Dont write off Sakara completely, yes i think Cote has the better chance of winning, however Sakara has the better hands, i dont think Sakara would knock Cote out with one shot but would do with quick 3 shot combinations, sod it im going to back Sakara on this one by split decision.

Cote probably has a better chance to win, but I wouldn't count Sakara out just yet, even though this is most likely a win or go home fight.

Big fan of Sakara. Really don't want to see him get brutally KO'd again which is more than likely in this fight..
