Who Do You Think Would Be The Champ at 195lbs?

This is of course all hypothetical, but feel free to use MMath if you choose. I'll just pick my favorites :thumb02:

:::The only 2 rules, please pick from currently signed UFC fighters that could likely make 195, and please DO NOT pick from current champions:::

The UFC doesn't that often schedule catch weight fights on purpose. But when they do, they have in recent history usually been at 195 lbs. I believe that the 195 lb weight class would be fun. I believe that the top of the heap at 195 lbs would look something like this:
Chael Sonnen, Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort.

Who do I think would be the champ you ask? I'm sticking with Hendo until he retires. Then I would see it kind of round robin style changing hands between the rest.

What are your thoughts?

That would be a really fun division. I love Franklinweight. Weidman and Boetsch would be there too IMO.

I've always felt that Vitor would be the king of 195 but Rashad and Lyoto both pose interesting challenges. As the OP said, i think it could be a bit of a rotisserie, kinda like LHW pre Bones.

Once they start splitting the division up it'll end up like boxing and will get messy really fast.

But I'll go with Vitor...he's the only who retains his power whether he's in the HW, LHW, or MW. It's crazy actually. He looks relatively the same.

Chael Sonnen, assuming Silva stayed at 185 that is.

Lyoto. Easily. He weighs in so light for 205, and would make the weight without breaking a sweat (maybe not literally... :D )

Would love to see Machida/Belfort. That'd be awesome.

100% agree, Its not like the weights are overflowing with contenders anyhow, no need for new weights.

Lyoto, easily.

I think if anything there should be a division between light heavyweight and heavyweight...i think its kinda crazy that a guy who cuts no weight and fights at 220-230 has to fight a guy that cuts to make 265

There are not many cutting to make 265, its not like the ones who do are ruling the sport either.

Well they could use a few weight classes if you ask me. The jump between LHW and HW is a huge gap, cruiser weight would suck up a lot of HW fighters but it would have been more appropriate than adding bantamweight.

I can't really think if a fighter I'd prefer to fight at 195 Sonnen and Franklin I guess.
