Cars are obviously safer then Bikes.
If i change lanes and dont notice a biker is next to me. It isnt me who is going to probably die a horrible horrible death...
I make go to jail though.

I was more referring to the fact that you likely don't have a highway a la SR 1 in Cali that permits lane splitting or the 401 in T dot which is the most traveled highway in the world for sheer volume everyday.
I'm sure Finland is beautiful though

No not at all... but sometimes looking over your shoulder can make you hit the person in front of you.
I personally try to be very cordial to bikers. For instance when i know they are passing by me and i am on the freeway Carpool lane i will move out of the way to the left out of the lanes just so the biker can have "safe passage" when he comes by me.
But sometimes Bikers are dicks and take risks they really shouldnt be taking.
I guess my point is that the road is unpredictable and you have to make split second decisions. I would rather be in a car when one of those decisions goes wrong.
BUT and people might disagree here but i think Harleys should be outlawed. Whenever one of them passes by me i feel lucky to still be able to hear. I literally start swinging at my wheel whenever one of them blows up my ear drums. I mean what the hell is the point of making them so loud??? Is it like SouthPark says?? They think people look at them and think they are "Cool"??? And how do the bikers themselves take it??? I cant see earplugs getting rid of all that noise. |
