There are numerous articles out there right now, debating the issue. Some say he does belong in there, others say he doesn't. What does MMAF think? A look at his achievements:

• UFC record of 4-3
• UFC Heavyweight Champion
• 2 Title defenses
• SOTN award at UFC 116
• Biggest PPV draw in the history of the UFC

While his record doesn't look so impressive at 4-3, he is still one of the most succesful HW champions of all time with 2 defenses.

I don't think so. I don't know if you've seen, but I support himn in nearly ever thread he's been mentioned. Although his actual skillset has many holes, there is no taking away the incredible level of competition he faced and for the most part, defeated. That being said, I don't think he really matched up to be a HOFer. I think someone in the HOF has to be fully accepted by everything, and Lesnar's nowhere close to that. Everyone would kick up fuss and quote that he was given a title shot and only drew because of his "fake fighting" background, and really it would do more damage than good to the HOF. He also didnt have anywhere near enough fights to me.

It depends on what the requirement is for getting into the HOF. For bringing UFC more attention and somewhat shaping UFC's future? Probably a yes. For his achievements inside the octagon? I'd say no.

He had a crazy list of opponents, I agree. Couture, Mir, Carwin, Velasquez, and Overeem were no bums. However, his record against these individuals wasn't so impressive. He defeated an aged Couture, had a good win in Mir, a come from behind win in Carwin, and then lost quite embarrassingly to Velasquez and Overeem. 4-3 isn't a record to brag about.

I concede that he is one of the most successful heavyweights in UFC history with 2 title defenses, but hell should the standard really be set at that? The only reason why he is one of the most "successful" heavyweight champion in UFC history is because there isn't really a dominant heavyweight that has fought in the UFC. I believe that the minimum number of times a champion has to defend his title before being considered hall of fame material is 4 to 5. 2 title defenses shouldn't propel you into the hall of fame.

However, with the 2 title defenses and the millions of fans he brought to MMA, I'm sure UFC is considering inducting him into the hall of fame. After he is done with WWE that is.

I heard the argument the other that Brock could have built an impressive record by fighting cans for a while and I agree, he was thrown in the deep end fairly quick (at his request ) so I think looking at the record alone is skewed.

Im not a huge Brock fan but I think he probably gets it

I guess I think that 10 years down the road he will be nominated and put in without much opposition, I know he would be slapped down quick if it were to happen now but I honestly feel Dana will make it happen down the road, especially if he were to join the UFC in some other capacity for a while just so they can say he made other contributions.

What is the criteria for the UFC hall of fame? Im sure its been posted but im kinda lazy, someone help a brotha out??

Honestly I am completely baffled by anyone who would vote yes. The thought of him being in the HOF actually would take away any validity it has. I say this as a big fan of his while he was in the UFC. But let's be honest, he was just a blip in the UFC. He was a big name in (fake) wrestling and was a ratings booster. His accomplishments without much training were impressive, but to suggest that his very short time in the UFC deserves a HOF entry is absolutely ridiculous. The HOF should be reserved for pioneers in the sport AND longtime names . . . not a blip on the overall radar.
