The GSP vs Silva thing...I am convince GSP is ducking him. I would love to see Silva fight Jones, I believe their really good friends or they both are ducking each other. Jones said he will not fight silva.

As for SIlva vs GSP...this has been a fight brewing for 5 years now. From UFC 94-112 GSP said he wants to fight Silva.

Point is the GOAT called him out. That is a supreme honour. GSP will fight him if he beats Condit.

The crazy part is Anderson has called GSP the best fighter alive today on many occasions.

It's gonna happen. I believe in it.

Let us hope that JBJ says something off kilter about Anderson.
That's the cassus belli to get that bout going...

What an interesting match up that is...

Who knows "The Phenom" might spoil the party.

If Gsp is that good size won't matter.

The UFC is full of fighters a lot heavier than
There opponents.

Silva walk's around at a chunky 220, Gsp walks around at a ripped 185-190. Gsp is pure muscle and could be just as strong as silva anyway. Gsp is just ducking here.

Diaz..Edgar.. Cormier.. Cain.. Mir.. Overeem.. Jon Jones

Not surprising. I hope Condit finishes GSP for many reasons, and maybe it can also put an end to this nonsense. These two want to build on their legacy within their own divisions, which I'm fine with. They barely fight as-is; think about how long a superfight would delay the divisions.

I just don't think this fight will happen. Silva is not getting younger and will probably retire soon.
Still, I think Silva will beat him. GSP just doesn't seem to have the tools to beat Silva (imo).

Smfh. GSP loses a lot of respect if he's fighting Kampmann or Hendricks over Silva. Everyone knows that Anderson might not even have another 3 fights in him. If GSP waits until Silva is on his decline, then he will have basically shit all over this oppertunity for MMA to put the nail in the coffin for boxing and become the biggest of all. I understand the "It's terrible, I wont look past Condit" stuff, because thats the fight ahead, and the next fight is always the most dangerous of your career, but he shouldnt be looking forward to Welterweight challenges. It's not or never for this fight, and if it doesn't happen...a lot of MMA fans will be looking elsewhere. I'm into this so much because Mayweather and Pacquiao ruined boxing. It showed that the people with the most respect weren't true fighters. If GSP pulls the same thing....smh.

i don't want to see the fight because i think it would be boring. GSP would avoid engaging, and silva is best when people try to engage him. once on the ground, GSP will be mostly neutralized by Silva's BJJ and be content to avoid dangerous positions because of his legacy.

certain elements on this forum are always so quick to imply that fighters they hate are cowards. i don't get that.

GSP pushes FORWARD to take you down. He's not Leites or Maia who just fell to their back. He has to get into striking range to work, and that's where Silva wants him to be.

Thanks to Ape for the sig.
