Maybe in training where the bag isn't hitting back. I mean I could make myself look pretty damn fast hitting the mitts and whatnot.
But Vitor is faster and has more power. The reach is all Jones has over Vitor standing but it is so long it may be all he needs.

Agree with all Vitors a fairly seasoned boxer and has proven to have faster hand speed than bones, just look at Belfort vs. Wanderlai or Eastman.
With that said jones by 1st or 2nd round TKO.

Jones will try to be faster than Vitor, and he will try to stand with him. Despite the crazy betting odds for this fight, there is serious possibility that the LHW phenom will be dethroned by a MW.
Vitor isn't just fast handed, he covers ground really well and throws big combinations. If he lands a counter like Machida and Evans did, he's much better suited for continuing the assault when Jon retreats.

The last person to comment on how Vitor's hand speed wasn't a big deal got knocked the F out.

Speed no, can he make up the difference through length and distance to neutralize Vitor's speed? Most likely. We compliment JBJ on his athletic and genetic blessings, but one thing he rarely gets credit on is his footwork which is top notch.
This will be a closer and more dangerous fight for JBJ, Vitor's can knock anyone out and unlike Hendo, has the speed, technique and offensive tools to do so. He is also one of the best finishers in the game, if he hurts you once you might never recover.
I still have JBJ as the favorite, but I wouldn't sleep on Vitor.

I like what bas said last night. The only way vitor can win is by staying on the outside because as soon as he gets inside Jones will clinch.

Exactly. I've heard it said so many times that getting in Jones face is the way forward. It's total nonsense. When your opponent has 84 inches of tentacle he'll scoop you up and trip you before you can even say "In the pocket". Not to mention the fact that half way down his tentacles are these sharp horrible elbow things which are handily perfect for anybody at that range.
All in all, I believe getting close to Jones is far worse then being on the outside. Thats why everybody always ends up out there. At some point they taste the horror of the inside game and spend the rest of the fight as far away from him as possible.
He is a truly horrible fight for just about anybody.
