I dont think so.. Vitors boxing is quicker and has more power IMO.
Bones definatly has more tools.. we all know that.
But If Bones seriously wanted to stand and box (which we all know WILL not happen cause Jackson is gonna drill it in his head) he'd get knocked out.
Maybe I'm wrong here but Machida's speed and elusiveness kept him in there to land a few shots.. Rashads speed kept him in there long enough.... If you give Vitor enough chances he has a great potential to put Bones on his ass.
Bones best bet is to finish him quickly if you ask me..

It doesn't really matter how fast Vitor can throw if he can't close the distance without getting wrecked by those freak limbs or taken down as soon as he gets in range.

Nothing wrong with that.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with him saying it and he's entitled to his opinion, but I'm just saying he's wrong.

Read again... the bolded part above you.
I dont think those long limbs of Jones would allow him to be as fast as Vitor is.

I wonder if Bones is going to have an 'elbow special' for Vitor. He is known for rushing in, and if Bones throws one of those elbows he threw at Rashad then the fight it over.

It shouldn't be difficult. He's a natural middleweight, and won't be able to do much about it.
But does he have a punchers chance? No question.

I would love for Jones to stand up with Belfort just to prove he's capable of doing it.
Most likely though, Jones will maintain a good distance like he did with Page then find an opportunity to take Vitor down and hurt him bad.

I want to see Jones throw elbows at Belfort's hand-speed. Like Jordan Mein vs Cyborg but faster!

Just started watching the Countdown show. Last few days I've been citing that Jones is more of a 'martial artist' than a 'fighter'. I'm kind of easing up on the early pitchforks and torches shit against him I had at the start. Now on this, he said "I'm the type of person who bases all my successes around being prepared". In summary, he's saying "I'm not a world champion level fighter unless I'm 100%". Everyone has the option to be 100% or not. Wether it means you being in or out of the UFC, you can always make sure you're 100% ready for the fight, and if you win at 100% everytime, then you'll always make it to the top regardless. So was it really such a bad thing that Jones pulled out? He pretty much thinks he isn't at the top when he isn't fully prepared, but is at the top when he is, so does that make it such a bad decision? He has the option to be 100%, and by taking that option he's pretty much an undefeated world champion. Who knows if he would be if he took short notice fights.
