I honestly don't get how any one would rather see Anderson fight Bonnar over Diaz. That's crazy talk boi.

Diaz is considered one of the top 3 WW's in the world and has some of the best boxing in the sport. Add on top of that, he's just as tough, probably tougher than Stephan Bonnar and stands and bangs with every opponent he's faced. Also in the prime of his career.

Then we have Stephan Bonnar....A man on the verge of retirement who gave Mark Coleman a win in the octagon. He's a tough guy with not even half the skills that Nick Diaz possesses. I mean, the difference in talent level between Nick Diaz and Stephan Bonnar is really quite comical.

Plus Diaz has fought at MW before.

Anderson Silva vs Bonnar is really just.....there aren't even words to describe it, it's borderline freak show entertainment. But I'll still tune in to watch The Spider do his Matrix thang.

~5 weeks ago on that Spike MMA show. He basically said that he didn't want to take fights against people with less Twitter followers than him so he was retiring unless he got big name fights.

The size difference between Diaz and Bonnar is ENORMOUS. Diaz isnt going to outbox Anderson, He isnt going to wrestle him, He is going to Submit him. Diaz just has ABSOLUTELY zero way of winning it.

Bonnar on the other hand likes to get in wars and is going to be bigger then Anderson. He has the power to wobble Anderson and has the size to hold him down.

How anyone wants to see a fight with a 170er who has no way in beating Anderson Silva is beyond me.

Thats crazy talk to me... The only reason id like to see it is because id love to see Anderson clown Diaz probably more then id like to see him clown Bonnar.

And Diaz has "okay" boxing. He has a good pitter patter style but other then that it isnt impressive. BJ Penn before he gassed was working Diaz in the standup.

I was going to respond properly to your post until I read that Diaz has "okay" boxing.

You're fully entitled to your misinformed opinion.

Diaz has the worst style possible to fight Anderson and is significantly smaller than him.

I wouldn't say Diaz at 180 would be significantly smaller then Silva.

Diaz wouldn't be fighting Silva at LHW...

Granted, he is smaller, but I think his over whelming pressure boxing, Stockton slaps, elite level BJJ and grittiness and toughness pose interesting problems to Anderson.

Plus, I'd just love to see another fighter actually taunt Anderson in the ring purely just to see his reaction. Nick dropping his hands and calling Anderson a bitch, then for Anderson to matrix Diaz, but Diaz to survive and get back up because he's virtually unfinishable and go at it again.

Would be fantastic.

Either way, it still makes much more sense than a fight with Stephan bloody Bonnar.

Alright bud.

He doesnt show great head movement. He doesnt show great foot work. He doesnt show great technical and crisp punches. He doesnt show great power.

Which means he has "Okay" boxing.

What he does show and he does this really well is use his reach and is able to throw weak punches in bunches without the opponent getting much of a chance to retaliate.

Which works fine against alot of opponents. But for instance BJ Penn is someone who ACTUALLY has great boxing and while BJ was fresh he was able to use his superior boxing and get the better of Diaz. Then BJ gassed and Nick was able to do what he does best.

But hey if you want to pretend that Nick Diaz shows "great" boxing then that is fine.

Lets say i agreed that he does have great boxing... what then???

He still cant outstrike Anderson Silva with it..
So the point of our discussion does not change one bit whether i agree with you or disagree with you about Diaz.

Anyway i guess since you backed out of a discussion because i disagreed with you there was no point in me making this post. Il see ya around Retarded. (I kid i kid)

Well you would definitely be wrong then. Rich Franklin who is a big and strong MW got tossed around by Anderson. What in the world could Diaz do???? Diaz going up to 180 is still going to be signicantly smaller then Anderson going DOWN to 180. Since these guys put on between 20-40 pounds after the weigh ins. Diaz would stay around 180 while Anderson would be 200+
