sorry for my english

Do you think the ufc is going backward in longterm with the way they promote the sports. Imo Dana white is not the right guys to birng the sports of MMA in the promised land. I like the man is blog are very fun to watch but i think he take stuff way to personel he swear a lot I almost feel he promote bad behabvior among is fighter to create drama and sell ticket .

I remember back in the day UFC was trying to compete against the WWF ( yeah back in the day it was called like that). IS it really the sport that sports that u really want to compete againts or first class sports like the nfl.

The ufc need to step up there game and act like a first class compagny. fighter like JDS GSP edgar brian stann are the best type of fighter to elevate the sports to higher ground.

For people who think Tyson couldn't cut off the ring they are wrong:

http://www.boxingnews24.com/2009/10/why-muhammad-ali-would-beat-tyson/

"Now lets have a look at Tyson. Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion of all time in 1986 at age 20. Tyson fought behind a high guard in the peek-a-boo defence style. He would lunge in with hooks which often knocked his opponents out very early on. Tyson had a great chin and a huge neck to absorb punches, he had great head movement, great power and great speed, he was very aggressive and could cut off the ring very well."

Show me the evidence to support it. Which high level opponent did Tyson take punishment from? Tyson was stopped 5 times in his career after all.

Tyson's best opponent was Ruddock (that he beat) or Spinks. Bruno and others were paper champions so even though decent fighters, they were never the best of the best. Lewis demolished Ruddock after Tyson beat him, proving that he wasn't all that to begin with (but more avoided).

Tyson's biggest fights were Holyfield and Lewis. He was stopped in both after being completley dominated (excluding the DQ to Evander).

As I said earlier, he was a can wrecking machine, but the proof is on the paper. When Tyson stepped in against the highest level compition, he didn't get anywhere. His legacy is mainly based on the demolition of the low level fighters the HW division had at the time. Lewis has said it himself multiple times that he hated to be a part of that era in boxing because there was just no opposition at all. The few glimces of great fights for Tyson, the ones that would put him in GOAT contention, would have been the ones with Holyfield and Lewis. Tyson had great head movement, relentless pressure and knockout power...but that's about it. You put him in there with a top level elite ranged fighter and he loses almost everytime.

The UFC is never going to reach as wide of an audience as the nfl, much less mlb or the nba.

The pay is god awful, and the training regimen freakishly difficult.

The best athletes will always gravitate towards the most glamorous, highest reward sports, which are the team sports.

The UFC has tried a large variety of cable and network venues to air it's fights, and ratings have barely registered.

Zuffa is a huge sources of revenue for Dana and the Fertittas, and for maybe 15-20 fighters. For all the other fighters, they're making walmart assistant manager money.
