It might not make much sense rankings wise but the fight would make sense in so much as it allows time for the middleweight rankings to sort themselves out. It would be a big payday for everyone involved. Bisping would talk some trash, Anderson would Matrix him, and we'd get another great scene of Bisping going to sleep.
This gives time for Weidman/Boetsch to sort out the new number 1 contender and for the next #1 contender's fight to be made involving the winner of Belcher/Okami versus... I'm not sure off hand.

No one is overly deserving and Bisping has proven himself to be a legitimate top 10 MW and has name value so I'd be fine with it.

Hrmm, interesting that the last 3 have all been AS. I find it really strange that the widely regarded #1 P4P fighter gets 3 passes. Even if the match up doesn't make much sense, the title should always be on the line.

Can't put a title on the line outside of it's weight class. He asked for fights at 205 to test himself or to step up and save a card. That's not a pass. That's called stepping up and challenging yourself.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought the Silva/Bonnar fight was at 185. It's at LHW. Not sure how I missed that.

Bis/Silva is the most interesting MW fight to make. Weidman getting a title shot anytime soon is undeserving. Bisping would not fair well against Silva, but then again, nobody would at the moment.

I wonder if they could work out a January fight with Anderson-Bisping? If so, make this one and let the winner of Weidman-Boetsch get the next shot. Whoever wins this fight shouldn't have to fight anyone anymore to get a shot.
Okami-Lombard-Weidman
Maia-Munoz-Boetsch
These guys would be more than deserving.

I think the Bisping-fight is the one that makes the most sense right now - even though neither him nor Weidman are red-hot deserving in my book.
The way I see it playing out is that we get Silva vs. Bisping and then Boetsch vs. Weidman (UFC 155) for the next shot.
Or they could just wait for the Botsch vs. Weidman fight to take place and have the winner fight Silva next, but then the question remains, what would they do with Bisping?

Hmmm..., those fights were at 205. If I remember correctly, Silva is the 185 champ? You do understand that the title of one division can't be won or loss in a completely different division, don't you?
