I actually would like someone who doesnt like Anderson Silva based on his Maia and Leites fights to explain to me why.
I might have the fights mixed around, but in both of them his opponent crawled onto their backs and Silva wasn't risking being subbed. Everytime he got close they rolled back. He eventually would taunt them, which he was hoping would have them exchange. Unfortunatley for AS they weren't willing to risk the KO for the win. He didn't really get any oppertunities to finish them. I think it was the Maia fight, but AS was gassed like fuk at the end. He hadnt ever been that far and he was really showing the effects, so when Maia finally decides to stay standing (but was too scared to push forward), Silva was quite happy to stay on the outside and catch his breath.
And after the Leites fight, I feel he FULLY redeemed himself. He could see that everyone hated the fight, so he moved up a weight class, faught one of the biggest scrappers he could find, and made it exciting. At one point he stood there and told Forrest to exchange. Griffin laughed and basically said "I can't man". After he knocked Griffin down, he could have finished it considering that he has maybe the best finishing GnP in MMA history, but he let Forrest up so he could have a more exciting finish, and he did just that. I feel hating him based on these performances is just an excuse to be a hipster and say "I dont like supporting the greatest".

I have absolutely no respect for Jon Jones, the individual. He does the opposite of what he claims to espouse and I have no respect for that. Jon Jones the individual drives drunk, disrespects his opponents and his boss, backs out of event-saving fights due to his own ego, and regularly praises himself with such vain self-righteousness. If my son was old enough and mature enough to be influenced by prominent celebrities and athletes, I would use Jon Jones as an example of a low-charcter individual that my son should NOT be like.
Jon Jones the fighter, however, is like Toxic said, straight out of a video game. He knocks out guys like Shogun and submits guys like Machida and Belfort. The man is truly a remarkable athlete.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Ben Henderson personally and I found him to be very personable and friendly. I disagree with his religious viewpoints and expression but he seems like a very laid back, friendly guy who works hard in training. I thought he won the first fight with Edgar, but did think he lost the second. I'm a fan, but his passion for his faith bothers me sometimes.
I know next to nothing about Johnson. Seems like a nice guy.
The least concern to me is skin color.

As I recall, there weren't too many boos when Bones fought last. Same with Bendo. Now the Mighty Mouse fight, while I enjoyed it simply because of how fast every single thing was done, it would be considered a boring fight because movement was all that stood out in that fight. I don't think that means that UFC fans haven't taken to Might Mouse, just that the fans at the event didn't take to that fight.
If by UFC fans you mean people on here that whine about every single thing any of these fighters do, then..., I have no viable explanation other than, behind every great person, there is a long line of haters. Personally, I like every single one of the fighters you mention simply because of how they fight.
I don't like Bones or Bendo after their fights, or any truly religious fighter, simply because I'm Agnostic and all that god crap is just really annoying to me. I'm still waiting for the day we get either an Atheist or Satanist top fighter, who is open about their beliefs.
Atheist fighter, "I take all of the credit for my natural ability because I don't know that there is a higher power who helped me in anyway."
Satanist, "All thanks be to our Dark Father."

Ben lost to Edgar, Edgar was robbed, not Ben's fault therefore I don't "dislike" Ben either, but I call a spade a spade and Ben should have lost that fight.
As for Mighty Mouse, I'm completely indifferent, I honestly couldn't care less about him or his division.

If you said you disliked Jones two years ago you got called a racist even though you would say you wanted Rashad or Rampage to beat him.
Now everyone hates him.

I think Benson lost his fight to Edgar personally.
Bones is a killer/pansy cocktail..
And 125 bores me even though the display of MMA skill and speed is absolutly amazing to me, I'm just not compelled by that weight class..

I don't like Jones because he comes across as a dick to me. I think his fighting style is fantastic and a pleasure to watch but anything I see of him outside the ring really puts me off. Henderson I really like but know many are turned off to his thanking God after his fights - not something that bothers me in the least. Mighty Mouse I'm indifferent to. I really don't like the smaller divisions.

its easy: Bones is fake and i cant stand him. Bendo clearly lost to Edgar at their second fight. There is not even room to argue, he clearly lost and shouldnt be champion right now. I stil like him though.

Can you show me some evidence that is actually happening?
As for Jon Jones, they guy is hugely popular, in relative terms to other fighters, in what is perceived by the vast majority of the general public as a fringe sport (at best). The guy has a Nike deal, for gawd's sake.
And on Anderson: there are any number of reasons why the dude's buy rates have been lower. A few I would submit are that, while I'm betting his English is coming along, he still seems to refuse to use it in any meaningful way with the media, and what he does outside the octagon is eminently un-marketable.
In terms of the predominant MMA market (N. America), he's a bit of a challenge to promote.
