Jackson knows nothing on "honour", he's been getting caught out with leg kicks for years. Never had any issue with front leg kicks, take evasive action, or check them if you don't like them...like any regular leg kick.

Remember a rather nasty version of this kick in the Jardine/Vera fight...great technique.

As soon as a big name in MMA gets seriously hurt by one of those kicks OR complains about them (Not Rampage... he has seriously ruined his rep a while back). People who watch the sport are going to jump right on to that train. Exactly the same as the greasing situation. No one cared even in the fight no one cared and then BJ loses and starts calling GSP a cheater and now all of the sudden everyone and their mama has an opinion on it. It took it to an extreme that the commission literally had to create a new rule for it.

I think you are seriously underestimating how much people like to complain and bitch. Especially if its their favorite fighter that got injured or is the one complaining about it. Then all of the nut huggers are going to be right there with the same opinion. And if a serious injury happens in a big main event people are going to be all over it.

And just to make it clear. I dont think Jones is doing anything wrong NOR do i think it should be illegal. But iv seen people bitch about much less then this.

It isn't the same as greasing. Most people assumed you weren't allowed to do that and it creates an unfair advantage that this doesn't since both fighters are allowed to do it. I wouldn't go looking for outrage at the violence of techniques from the drunken and blood thirsty casual fans either.

Same can be said for soccer kicks or head stomps or 12 to 6 elbows.

And even though people knew grease was illegal they also knew a slight amount isnt going to make much of a difference. So no one really cared before BJ started crying.
