Machida wants GSP

Quote:

Machida revealed that he may be back in a training routine in ten days, first having to heal up a knee injury. “I will be ready to re-start in ten days to fight in December, who knows?” he says, giving no clue on who his next opponent will be.

However like his countryman and friend Anderson Silva, he has professed an interest in fighting the welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre in a superfight. “It would be an interesting karate duel but I don't know at what weight we would do it. If it is at 185lbs, I will go for it,” says the former light-heavyweight champ.
I can easily see Machida frustrating GSP and knocking him out. Can't really see GSP trying to take Machida since Machida's TDD is on point.

Now that's an intriguing fight nobody would have imagined. Strange as it sounds I think Machida would fare better than Anderson simply because he has a much wider base. Probably from his Sumo training.

Kyokushin Karate vs Machida Karate!

Georges would get his ass handed to him.

Machida should be concentrating on a rematch with the LHW champion and not calling out those who fight TWO weight classes below him.

GSP fighting Machida who is 2 weight classes above him.

Yes, GSP won't fight a guy in the next higher weight class. Why wouldn't he fight a guy 2 weight classes higher?:confused03:

205 vs 170...nuff said, even if they met at 185. But I'd watch it tho ;-)

Who doesn't want to fight a guy coming off four knee surgeries from a smaller weight class. I hear Jose Aldo has some issues as well.
