I would like nothing more than to never see or hear from Nick Diaz again.

If Rory beats BJ I think he'd make a great "welcome back" fight for Nick.

And I think he takes it.

I find him more frustrating than entertaining. He doesn't get better between fights, he can't adapt in a fight, and he whines every time someone exploits this. He might fight hard but he fights stupidly. Not too mention his boxing is so stupidly overrated.

Diaz needs 6 months with JDS, Aldo or Anderson Silva. I love watching Diaz fight, too bad he's as stubborn as a mule, with his heart and natural ability he should be able to win a title. You can tell guys like Condit have to train to get their abilities while Diaz's natural ability (very much like Penn) to stand in the pocket is a gift. If he had more than just punches in bunches he'd be a real scary fighter for anyone with his ability to always keep going forward.

Overrated sometimes yes but he still makes it work. His chin, cardio and amazing recovery make him a nightmare standing up.

I want to see him fight Condit again.

Since the fight he's said he didn't go balls out because he thought he was winning. I'm inclined to agree.

Aggression? Diaz
Octagon control? Diaz
Effective striking? Debateable
Effective grappling? Diaz

Condit was the definition of timid (timidity is actually a FOUL in the unified rules BTW) so he has to be judged the less aggressive fighter.
Condit was constantly moving away from the center of the octagon, so he had no octagon control either.
In the striking department it was pretty even other than in kicks, where Condit landed a lot more leg kicks.
And the one time they grappled, Diaz had him in a bad position on the ground almost immediately and was threatening with a choke.

Honestly, I didn't even think it was a particularly close fight...

I'd like to see what a pissed off Diaz who's actively trying to take Condit's head off would do in the rematch.

If Diaz 'controlled' the Octagon, how come Carlos was able to 'run a marathon'

From all accounts I've heard and from a fight I've seen about four times now, it looked to me like Carlos decided when and where the fight took place.

And just to troll the Diaz fanboys, Condit 1, 3, and 4, lololol

and from what i saw, that place was as far away from nick as he could get without actually exiting the octagon.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?
