who would have thought.. probably ufc had sth to do with this, because utill about recently LW was the most stacked and 1 class lower was empty.. no contenders, no interest besides a title fight, only few upcoming talents.. just hope joe silva will mix it up well

Some of those Bellator FW are pretty awesome as well. I personally think Curran would put as good a fight vs Aldo as any.

I don't like Guida but to call him a "lay n pray' fighter isn't valid, he finished Gomi, dos Anjos, and that other guy he fought before he out-wrestled Pettis and before the Maynard fight everyone was bitching his fight with Ben Henderson wasn't on the FOX broadcast, personally, I hated that fight.

Aldo/Curran would be sick, Edgar/Curran would be even better after Edgar KO's Aldo.

It's difficult to be a fan of Guida after the Maynard fight, but I always liked his old relentless wrestling style so if he reverts back to that, he might have a decent attack for the title. Theres no chance he gets past Jose Aldo or Frankie Edgar imo though.

People are so unforgiving. The guy worked his entire professional life to be the best he has trained day after day to be the best and yet the story of Guida's career has been coming up just short. Coming up a career bridesmaid caused the desperation to win you saw from a man who doing his thing just hadn't worked for. Guida spent his career moving forward with wreckless abandon and yet he gets no respect.

If Guida wrestlefuked Maynard against the cage, I thought he would win. It's just difficult to see a guy that you're a fan of doing something like that. If Diaz x2, Machida, Anderson or whoever else is in my sig used boring avoidance tactics, they'd probably get dropped from my list you know.

IMO both Guida and Jones have a similar problem. They need to stop listening Greg Jackson. He gave both men the worst advice in the history of the sport.

Guida isn't nearly as good a wrestler. No way he had a chance of wrestle****in Maynard.
You want to talk about boring avoidance tactics though nobody in UFC has put on more avoidance BS in fights than the man in your sig Anderson Silva against Demian Maia, guess you go a fight to watch before you edit that sig?

Anderson spent 3 rounds walking near Maia who then rolled on his back like a crab. In the 4th round Anderson was pretty gassed and was waiting for Maia to come in...but he didnt. Why in the world would the greatest stand up fighter in history avoid a guy who is pretty shit at stand up?
Guida doesnt need to be a good wrestler. He can put anyone against the cage. He's like a weaker wrestling Sonnen. He would have put Maynard on the cage, and Maynard would have had the same frustration as he did in their actual fight.

Anderson Silva spent 3 rounds beating Maia up and moving backwards when he had Maia hurt, he then spent the last 2 rounds with some of the most embarrassing run away backwards shit we have EVER seen from a champ. The guy received a warning from the ref to quit running away and fight.
