I was at the event last night and I noticed that he had plain blue UFC shorts with no sponsors on and also didn't have a banner with sponsors on either. Also his corner consisted of two people, a female and a guy which looked more like friends of his than coaches. Anyone know why this is?

He took the fight on rather short notice. Maybe didn't have time to get anything together. Or the Ufc might be his sponsor.

Could be this. From what I understand, agents get you sponsors in the months leading up to the fights. You don't have static sponsors, per say. You have to contact the sponsors before every fight and make sure that they want to sponsor your fighter. That being said, if someone sponsored a fighter before there's a good chance they will again, but it's not a given so you have to work out a deal every time. This works to the fighter's advantage as well, as after a big win he can get significantly more money for the same sponsorship.

I think he is actually sponsored by the UFC, Maybe the they dont like other sponsors logos on there?

I sponsored a guy for strikeforce before and you gotta get in your sponsors artfiles etc a few weeks before the fight starts so they can be approved by the UFC. Then you gotta get em printed up and so on. Wiman probably gets sponsored event to event as opposed to having a retained sponsor. So either not enough time to get an event sponsor and everything approved, or he just has shitty reps who aren't workin hard enough to get him some sponsors
