lol, who the hell is texiera and why the hell would someone like Evans fight him in half a month notice.

texiera or how ever the hell you spell his name is a NOBODY. that's why people are turning down to fight him. it's not because people are scared, lol. nobody wants to be a gatekeeper for these up and comers.

the top fighters have a name and reputation to uphold, they have EVERYTHING to lose (possible pay decrease, loss of sponsors, fan critic, title contention, etc) while this happy mother ****er texiera has everything to gain.

so give me a break with this scared or ducking bs.

I don't think he is scared at all,but in reality Glover is a dangerous opponent but he also really is a nobody at this point. It's a dumb fight to go into out of shape especially when there is nothing to really gain from it.

I really don't understand what Glover did to get such big name opponents being asked to fight him, Kingsbury is tough but it seems like that win has put Glover top 5 somehow. Kingsbury up to Rashad would be a ridiculous jump in competition.

If he's over 5'10" I'd be amazed.

Point being a think a lot of the heights listed might be slightly exaggerated. Carwin for example is listed as 6'5" iirc
Carwin was listed as 6'5. I don't see a place have him there now.

Forrest is listed as 6'3. Page and Shogun as 6'1. Lil Nog as 6'2. I would say those are all real heights.

Either way I think Rashad should be able to make 185 if 6'2 Weidman can. If he is really 235 then he is just letting himself get fat. Jones says he stays around 215-220 all the time.

Glover has been a highly regarded prospect for years. The only thing keeping him out of the UFC in the past was VISA issues. He had a ton of hype before stepping foot into the UFC. I think it was Machida that was giving him crazy love as the toughest guy in his camp. This dude has a ton of respect around MMA.

That and the fact he's pretty much Chuck's protege.

Yeah that helps too lol. I think he has a ton of respect from the fighters. He has trained with some greats and they will all tell you this guy is the real deal.

He probably could make 185. I can't imagine why he'd want to seeing as there's only one or two guys at LHW who can beat him.
