God forbid Silva gets hurt in this fight and misses a legit fight because he wanted to have fun.

I don't think Bisping has earned a fight more than Weidman. Bispings fight against Stann proved to me he has absolutely nothing to offer Silva.

You are right though. This is a fun fight, and I am happy to watch it. I would just prefer a different opponent. That is all.
I'm not going to quote your other post but don't compare beating Mark Munoz to beating Forrest who has actually beaten really good fighters.

It isn't about him having fun it is about doing something for the ufc and the fans who lost the main and comain from this card.

Weidman isn't even the rightful number one contender. Boetsch has better wins than Weidman people are just pushing for that fight because of the style matchup it wouldn't be earned.

To be fair Jon said he wasn't interested in an Anderson fight either.

Again, it wasn't just about winning. It was about how he won. Mark Munoz was widely considered the #3 MW in the world by numerous sources before that fight. Weidman made him look like it was his first fight. It wasn't just the name. It was how he beat the name. Munoz had some good wins and a damn good streak going into that fight.

And using possibly one of his last few fights on a guy who doesn't even remotely belong in the cage with him. I want the best in the world to fight the best in the world. Apparently that doesn't make sense to everyone.

And Silva fan boys are pushing for the Boetsch fight simply because they know it will be another highlight real KO. I could easily argue Weidman's wins are better than Boetsch. A loss to Davis and win over Grove and Ring. Then a performance where he was getting killed and came back to win, right before another performance that put half the audience to sleep. No way Boetsch has a better resume at this point than Weidman. Both Boetsch and Weidman would be more interesting matchups than Bonnar.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

But you want one of them to be wasted on Weidman? If Silva beats Weidman, it becomes "He wasn't ready", "He didnt deserve a title shot", "That guy was overrated anyways and had no impressive opponents". Personally, I want Silva to give up the title because wasting his few fights left on an "up and comer" in a weak division like Weidman or an always a bridesmaid in Bisping is pretty sucky.

My 100% ideal scenario would be:-

Silva Vs Bonnar
Silva Vs Nick Diaz
Silva Vs GSP
RETIRED

I bet ANY money that when Weidman gets his easy as hell highlight reel KO over Boetsch you'll be posting that he proved that he deserves the title shot too. Bisping and Weidman should be fighting in December. UFC is just bubble wrapping Chris.
