And using possibly one of his last few fights on a guy who doesn't even remotely belong in the cage with him. I want the best in the world to fight the best in the world. Apparently that doesn't make sense to everyone.
And Silva fan boys are pushing for the Boetsch fight simply because they know it will be another highlight real KO. I could easily argue Weidman's wins are better than Boetsch. A loss to Davis and win over Grove and Ring. Then a performance where he was getting killed and came back to win, right before another performance that put half the audience to sleep. No way Boetsch has a better resume at this point than Weidman. Both Boetsch and Weidman would be more interesting matchups than Bonnar.
We all knew the Munoz ranking was fraudulent he got trashed by Matt Hamill, couldn't do anything against Okami, should have lost the Maia decision, and gets dropped by everyone he fights. He didn't get his ranking by beating top guys he got it by other people beating top guys and dropping them below him.
No one is pushing for the Boetsch fight just stating the fact that beating Okami and Lombard is better than beating Maia and Munoz. I doubt any Silva fan has a problem with Boetsch and Weidman settling who gets the shot with a fight.
