He only really has exciting fights when he gets beat up.

Gray Maynard's pretty good. It's not so much that Guida is ineffective (ask Gomi) it's more that he came up against a guy who was just better than him.

Guys are allowed to lose fights once in a while, it doesn't automatically make them garbage.

Its not that he lost....you are completely missing the point. Did you even watch the fight?

Of course. But when a fighter loses a particular fight as pathetically as this one, they should shut up about it and move on.

Honestly, never could stand the guy. Just because you have good cardio does not mean you fight exciting or even good fights. He's possibly the most boring fighter I've ever seen.

Favorite fighters
1. Jens Pulver
2. Diego Sanchez
3. Chuck Liddell
4. Dan Henderson
5. Jason Von Flue
6. Chris Lytle

I didn't really feel like the fight was "boring", but I was disappointed because I felt that he could win yet he used avoidance tactics.

What I think is so annoying is pre-fight Jackson flat out says that Mayard is better at everything. So the whole fight strategy was avoiding the fight. Pretty damn lame IMO. It makes me very sad that fight was scored as a SD. That kind of performance should not be rewarded.

Yeah I feel like everything should be geared towards damaging your opponent and Guida wasnt even trying.

Yeah just simply moving to stay "active" shouldn't get you any brownie points. Not unless your turn that movement into something productive. If you are just going to move away, move away, move away then IMO you are avoiding the fight.

Same goes for wrestling with me. Unless you're setting up a submission or using ground and pound, you shouldnt be getting anything for avoiding any damaging attacks.
