So I admit, I'm a huge Teixeira fan, but I do think he has the skills and experience to beat Jones. He's not going to be intimidated and he has legit KO power, great wrestling and awesome jits. The wrestling to me is the part that I feel gives him an edge over the other Brazilian's that have lost to Jones.

Am I crazy to think Teixeira has a good chance against Jones?

The guy has beaten one legitimate (and I use that term loosely) opponent in his entire career. Let's slow it down here people. Let's see if he can actually beat someone who is relevant when he beats them.

Bob, weave, inside body shots or leg submission. This is actually kind of entertaining now. Each time he fights the odds go up considerably. I mean anybody who put down money on Serra vs GSP I or Bigfoot vs Fedor won some serious cheddar!

Does Rampage not have any KO power? kind of hard to take off your opponents head when you're getting kicked all the time. Jones would walk through Tex in fast fashion. What does Tex have that JBJ hasn't seen already? he bob and weave himself into a takedown and be finished just like everyone else.

This is what I am thinking. He has not one single win over anyone even remotely in the title picture or anywhere around it.

The only time I've seen Bones threatened was the Belfort arm bar - and it was close...that's the only way I see him losing, getting sloppy in someones guard and getting TChoked or ABarred.

I don't understand the hype behind this guy, he's on a win streak against nobodies and has-beens. He wins one fight in the UFC, and is now everyone's #1 pick? I hope he does well, but he could end up as just another name that got incredible hype and never delivered.

Well you are just out of the loop as many other are here.

The UFC has wanted Tex for a while. Sure he has beat no one. But he beats them in impressive fashion.

He is hyped similar to how Lombard was it seems. And I always questioned Lombard. So I see where people are coming from.

I have seen maybe 6 fights of his and I have been impressed every time. Hackleman I think has taken a liking to Tex. And if he puts all his time into him it may be a lot better than a guy like Lombard training in no mans land of a huge gym like ATT.

His BJJ is obviously excellent. Kingsbury had never been sub'd. Bonnar was on top of him for 3 rounds and couldn't do it. Texeria has finished very well in BJJ competitions. We know he has power. He is in his prime age right now.

I wish Rampage was still set to fight. Would have answered a couple questions.
