Quinton Jackson admits he made “****” joke in hopes of being cut by the UFC

It certainly isn’t a secret Quinton Jackson wants out of the UFC for personal reasons. “Rampage” has been very vocal about his desire to test free agency over the past six months, citing a perceived lack of respect from his current employers as the source of his ire.
However, until this week Jackson had never openly admitted he attempted to inspire his axing by releasing a video making light of ****. In the clip, Jackson attempted to earn laughs by making an instructional on how to sexually assault women only to be attacked himself by a transvestite.
In an interview with MMAFighting, Jackson explained the segment was supposed to be part of a series with humor aimed at being comparable to material from Dave Chappelle, but when he saw Miguel Torres get cut for joking about the same subject matter he saw a potential opportunity to expedite his release and took it.
“I was trying to get kicked out of the UFC. I have to keep it real. I was trying,” said Jackson about his motivation for the video.
“They were smart. They knew it. They saw right through it,” the former light heavyweight champion continued, stating he regretted the decision to release it though only because “it didn’t do its job.”
Jackson was expected to fight this month at UFC 153 but is now on the shelf with an injury. He is scheduled to compete one more time under the UFC’s banner before being released from his contract.

That would likely hurt his stock. By delaying his on going contract dispute, he probably could get a big name fighter next. A win would be huge heading into free agency, imagine him KOing Henderson or Shogun in his last fight ever.

What was Rampage's injury? I never heard.

The UFC tried to screw him by setting him up with Tex in Brazil. A guy without much of a name who is on a tear and in his home country. They wanted to bury his stock.

Wonder if they will give him a chance at a big name now? Or if they will still offer non-names for his last fight. I'd like to see Page/Shogun if Gustaf beats Shogun. I'd like to at least see Page get a name. Perhaps he will be really ready to stick it to the UFC.

I hope he fights another legend or a name to go out on. Rematch Hendo. Shogun 2. Vitor. Sonnen? Those would all be fight's I'd love especially the first 3.

Vitor/Page makes a lot of sense actually.

I'd like to see Rampage get a name opponent myself, but why should the UFC risk anything on this ungrateful, crybaby bi*ch? Rampage is a complete and utter joke, a pox he's brought upon himself. And were I in charge, I'd stick him in there with another strong wrestler who would smother his ass to another decision loss (Sonnen).

Get this utter clown out of the company, asap.

In all fairness in Rampage's word the issues with the UFC started with the Japan thing. Dana White told him he was fighting in Japan after the Machida fight. Japan is like what Brazil is to Silva, etc. Then all of a sudden they placed him on the Fox card. He said he wasn't doing that, so he was hurt told Dana, but still wanted to fight on the Japan card. Wanted a big name fighter they gave him Bader. He hates wrestlers, but said okay I'll do it since I'll be fighting in Japan. The UFC knew page was hurt going into that fight, he missed weight do to the injury and fought anyways. After the fight the UFC gave him shit about his heart and missing weight, etc even though they knew the circumstances.

The man has no issues fighting wrestlers, as long as they use their wrestling to finish him via ground and pound.

They should just bench Rampage and have him fight the loser of the Shogun/Gus fight. If it's Shogun: perfect time for a rematch, since they'd both have dropped significantly. If it's Gus, then Gus could prove that he still deserves to be mentioned near the top 10 by beating a solid, albeit not that great, opponent in Rampage.

Rampage doesn't really deserve to be in any truly relevant fights anymore. He isn't good enough or motivated enough to be fighting guys like Shogun, Machida, etc. It's not like he's gunning for a title shot or anything.
Give him a nice fun entertaining fight for the fans to enjoy as a parting gift: let him face the menace that is SONNEN!!!

A company like Bellator would LOVE to sign someone like Ramapge, and although it's not UFC money, they'd be willing to pay big bucks for such a high profile fighter like Page.

Page would also probably sign to fight in One FC in a heartbeat too because it's in Asia, where he loves, and I'm pretty sure they just sign you to fight and not to the promotion.

Did anyone watch his interview with ariel in NYC?? That was an amazing interview...better than tokyo! Anyway in this new interiew rampage said hes been offered triple the amount what hes making in the UFC...these orgs are willing to pay a lot of money to sign him, the problem is they will fold as fast as affliction doing that, bur rampage doesnt care he said he will just go to the next promotion offering him money when that happens, he doesnt care who he fights or about the fame he just wants that cheddar ;)

I thought he was retiring at 35?

Honestly, it pisses me off to go back and watch his fights with Dan and Forrest and see what he's become. Rampage/Hendo is an AMAZING fight for those who haven't seen it.

Same thing we see with everyone UFC employee. When they`re doing well `hey I LOOOVE Dana he`s such a good boss XD XD XD` then all of a sudden `**** that dude get me out of here.`

Dana treats guys like kings when there is money to be made, then he tries to absolutely demolish them before he`s done with them so no one else can make money of their name.

Like a kid breaking his old toys so his little brother can`t play with them.

Giving Rampage any fight is wasting an opportunity for another fighter who would put it all on the line just to be in the UFC. They should pay Cain a cool 1 mil just to cut to 205 and take his time building a highlight reel of smearing Rampage around the cage.
