This. I'd have assumed this was already in effect.

One thing that would annoy me is the motorcycle thing. You're just as likley to get into an accident in a car than on a bike so it would really be an issue with bike riders if they were told they werent allowed to ride it before a fight. Half of them probably ride their bikes TO the fight.

This won't change much but at least theres trying to do something.

Actually i think thats what it means, its the same as NBA and NFL contract, they cant ride bikes or do any dangerous activities even during their off time

I kind of think this is all just to make it seem like Zuffa is doing something.

I agree with Hammerlock 100% about this, the number of injuries suffered from "dangerous activities" is insignificant compared to those suffered in training or in ordinary activities.

They're just going to have to learn how to train smarter, is all. since there's money in it I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

And on that subject, does anyone remember the last time one of Greg "the sport killer" Jackson's fighters had to pull out of a fight due to a training related injury? I'm thinking it had to be Rashad back in 126.

Sanchez/Hughes 135 (broken hand)
GSP/Diaz 143 (four knee injuries)
Stann/Lombard UFC on Fox 4 (shoulder tear)

Also both Carwin and Condit have been sitting out for a long time.

Agreed. It is good that they are doing something like this to prevent an injury while doing something dangerous. But don't expect there to be a sudden drop off in the number of fighters injured.

As most others have said, it won't change much. Most injuries are training-related.

I don't think this will change much, Aldo would still be fighting that's about it. But honestly am I the only one wondering why they didn't already have this in place?
