If Bonnar Defeats Silva Does He Fight Jones?
So, if Bonnar defeats Anderson Silva does he do an immediate rematch or will the UFC give him an immediate shot at Jon Jones? I think the Jones today would run through him personally but beating Silva would definitely revitalize Stephens career..

Yes, but Stephen is already on a 3 fight win streak in the LHW division and with a win over Silva I'd say that shoots him to the top of the contender list. The UFC would want to feed off the hype of the "Man Who Defeated Anderson". Stephen vs Jones 2 would be a big draw.

Depends on if no legitimate contender takes a fight with Jones. Could happen...again.

Trying to figure out if this is a Rocky story, Edgar vs Maynard...or Cigano.

Bonnar doesn't strike me as the guy who makes it big and walks away, he's very much into the lime light. He wants to be in the big fights, the media etc...

If he beat Silva which is a monumental if (I think the 9-1 or 10-1 odds the bookies are giving are actually too low) then he probably would get a shot at Jones and I'd be fine with that. If you beat Silva you can pick your fight, I think you've earned it.

^^ I agree.
This thread has caused me to find the 1st fight. I'll watch it again tonight. The way I remember it Bonnar took everything Jones had and was giving him hell in the 3rd.
