Ufc 157 - Jones vs Sonnen? Feb 2013
Twitter seems to be heating up again between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen,
Could Sonnen be for-going the fight with Forrest and getting the fast-track to the Super Bowl card in Vegas (Feb 2, 2013)
Ufc 156 (mid January) will likely be in Brazil, headlined by Edgar/Aldo
Sonnen/Jones Could be the big ticket that the Super Bowl card always lands, Hendo/Machida Co-main or Cerrone/Pettis.

I don't think they'll take him out of the Forrest fight with him coming off a stoppage loss to Anderson.
People will bring up Aldo/Edgar as an example of a guy getting a title shot off a loss but the majority believe Edgar got robbed and even then. Chael didn't even make it to a decision with Anderson, he got stopped, he needs to get a win and erase that as much as he possibly can.

Fail shouldn't be gifted a title shot at LHW after he'd failed miserably twice at the next lower weight class. And yes..., he failed miserably in the first fight also because he was in a dominant position for all but 30 seconds of that fight, yet he's the one that got finished. That's a miserable loss.

I hope Sonnen is gifted the shot if he squeaks by the not-top contender Griffin. I would absolutely love to watch Fail get thrown around and beat down for 8 minutes, then finished by **** choke.

The scenario that would please me most is a victory of Forrest over Sonnen.
Sonnen's body of work is comprised of one really impressive loss to the greatest, FOR WHICH HE WAS SUSPENDED, and a whole lot of meh.
People who are actually clamoring for this fight are, to put it delicately, easy sells.

If he gets by Forrest it looks like he'll get the shot if he wins, but then again Gus absolutely murking Shogun on FOX could change this whole script.

The sooner that fight happens and Jon beats his ass, the sooner the fans can shut up about Jones being afraid of Chael. Though, I think the Gus/Shogun winner is much more deserving.
