Great tactic from the champion
Any one else believe that the spider just waited near the fence just to avoid to be taken down. I believe it s much easier to defend take down from the fence compare to a good rush double leg take down in the middle of the octagon. It was really a smart move from his part. He played safe by using the fence and rely on is counter attack skill to win the fight.

That is a great tactic but, I don't think that's the reason Silva was doing it. Silva stood against the cage and let Bonnar implement his best game plan. It didn't work and it made Bonnar resort to his plan B which was try for the KO. Bonnar's back up plan is always Silva's first plan, striking. Hell, the fight ended, or the ending began, with Silva using Bonnar's plan A against him. He grappled and got the take down. Grappling for the take down was the only way Bonnar had the slightest hope of winning. Yet, it was Silva that ragdolled him around by the arm and succeeded with the trip. Then, Silva attacked and finished while Bonnar was getting back up.

Not sure if serious or just trolling very subtly...
There wasn't any tactic to it. He just wanted to show off a little. And it worked.

Yea I don't think it was a tactic. I think it was just a "Show me what you got" kind of thing. It's not like Stephan is known for his double legs.

He did it after he took some punches from Bonnar and felt what they taste. He knew they where NO WAY going to KO him!
IMO that was the real cause of that act. Plus he is so illusive man, who can stand and bang with him?
He has the best head movement in the sport!
He has the best technical capabilities in the sport!
He has the best MENTAL capabilities in the sport! He can BREAK you without even throwing a single punch!
He is a true legend and master of the sport. He knows how to use all his skills and advantages to exploit others weaknesses and vulnerabilities!
He is the greatest to ever walk in any MMA cage!!!

The best thing Bonnar could have done would have been to simply turn around and walk to the other side of the cage. Turn your back on him.
Would love to see Diaz and Silva. 1/2 the fight would be hands down looking funny moving their heads at one another.

Yeah maybe i was too drunk while i was watching but my reaction was...
"lol he put his own back against the cage because it seemed Bonnar kept pushing him into it.. So Silva saved him the trouble and said... okay you want the fight here... let's go"

I would love to see that fight, but only because Diaz has no chance. 1/2 the fight would be Diaz walking at Silva, while missing with whatever he threw. The 2nd 90 seconds would be Silva throwing and landing whatever he wanted, when he wanted and finishing Diaz violently.

I agree and it would be fun to watch; maybe we could get the same ref as the Teixeira/Maldonado fight.....lol
