I'm pretty sure all the hate got directed at Southworth and Koscheck for screwing with him. It was ok for Leben to dish it out but not for him to take it. I thought it was fair game because of how Leben acted beforehand.

That show was really weird. It often looked like Bonnar was the only adult in the house.
As for Leben - pissing on someone's bed is not ok. but Koscheck made him cry, so it's all good.

Yeah I watched it and he really seemed like a misguided kid at the time. Has anything changed? Lol. Leben came off as such a victim with Kos and Bobby, but pissing on someone's bed is MUCH worse than getting a hose put next to you when you're asleep.
Crippler is still the man though. I said it about Bonnar but Leben is maybe the last true warrior brawler in the UFC.

I thought he was a dick but his drunken antics and litany of emotional issues made for some compelling television.
I remember Chris crying in Mike Swick's arms as Mike did his best to console him and thinking that Mike Swick was the nicest guy ever, was one of my fave moments in the season.

I tried really hard to be a Chris Leben fan. I loved his fighting style. But what did me in, was his fight with Mark Munoz!!! Chris came into the fight strung out on opiates and morphine and out of shape. On any other day he would of knocked that can out, heck he even outwrestled Mark in that pathetic state he was in.
But instead he quit in the middle of the fight, he just quit....And then he failed his drug test of course....

Chris was an asshole on the show. And I say that as a person who has met him, sparred with him and thinks the world of him.. his drunken escapades were way out of line and retaliation was without question due. However Bobby Southworth went somewhere you should not go... having heard about Chris' estranged relationship with his dad he thought it would be okay to call him a "fatherless bastard". As a person with a similar relationship with my father I can tell you, you say that to me... combat training be damned on my side or yours, you're getting a blunt object to the head.
Point is, Chris acted like a douche... but Koscheck and Southworth were way out of line. Koscheck and Chris are cool now, but to my knowledge Bobby never made any attempts to right that situation, but who knows what happened when the cameras were off.
EDIT: HEY POST 2000!!! Rock N Roll!

Hope to see you still around in another 2000,
In general I think a lot of people on season 1 were emotional due to being somewhat stressed out by the nature of the house and I think the longer the show goes on the more people want to emulate that environment which has messed up the show because that was genuine not forced.

They spell it phonetically. I started off hating him but as the season went on I think for the first and only time of TUF I actually felt bad for him at the end. Now I love to watch him fight. I think the guy is just a banged up and broken person who is trying his best.
