Forrest Griffin - What Will and What Should Happen to Him? Do you even care?
It's pretty simple, obviously we know what Chael is doing but now we gotta find something for Forrest.
Machida/Hendo is gonna happen so that takes them both out.
Shogun/Gus is set, so that takes them out.
It looks like, the only options for Forrest, if he still fights on 155 is a Rashad rematch(he was beating Rashad imo, until he got stopped) or a fight with Bader or Davis, which Davis/Forrest might be pretty good. Rashad would stop him again if they fought and I think Bader would KO him too.
Or do you just want the guy to retire? Personally, I had Chael absolutely obliterating him.

Yea depends what he wants to do. If he is serious about hanging it up soon, let him decide.
If we are talking logical matches:
Lil Nog: This fight was scheduled before. Both are coming off wins over Tito. Lil Nog has many of the same skills as Forrest but he is more boxing oriented with more hand power. I like this fight though.
Phil Davis: This would sort of give Phil a name and hope he wins. Not that interested in it really even though it would probably be competitive. But it makes sense rankings and timing wise.
Rashad: Rashad needs an opponent. Would be a fun rematch but Rashad would probably dominate.
Personally I'd like to see a Rampage rematch. But Rampage looks to be fighting Tex.

If he is ready to hang them up I think they let him and Bonnar go out with a bang, if not I like Davis/Griffen and think its a fight Forrest would win.
I get the feeling watching Forrest that he isn't as committed anymore and isn't interested in one more run at the belt.

Phil Davis makes a lot of sense. I'd like to see that fight, as Forrest is a sort of gatekeeper for the LHW division. Phil Davis should be groomed slowly up the ladder instead of being rushed, and I think Forrest would be a nice, gradual step up in competition from Wagner Prado.

I absolutely hate the fact that Fail Sonnen was able to talk his way around Griffin. For Griffin, now..., I don't know, you really can't give him one of the youngins like Davis, maybe Bader? I think Bader has too much power though, so I don't see that fight turning out good for him. A rematch with Evans makes sense, in that both fighters need a fight and both have name value. But..., I see Griffin getting finished again. IDK, I really wish he'd have gotten the chance to make Fail look like the overrated hack he is. F***, Griffin has little or no relevance in the UFC LHW division anymore. He is little more than a LHW gatekeeper now. I say let him either fight nobodies or names that are making their last stand. Then, if he can throw caution to the wind and have a couple exciting wins over those guys, give him a shot to get into contention again.

He should fight Davis. Wouldn't mind watching him fight Bonnar if they both retire.

He should either retire ASAP, or fight the only other fighter at 205 that is talentless enough to face him....Bonnar.
The UFC could come up with some sort of cruise ship/MMA event, and those two could be the main event. "Snooze on the cruise 2012", or something equally witty.
Seriously the guy is terrible. Funny but terrible.

Oh I forgot how many horribly boring fights Bonnar and Griffen were in, thanks for reminding me, oh wait,
seriously though its absurd to call them talentless, neither guy may be top 10 anymore but lets be honest when your 5-3 in your last 8 fights all of which were against former champions then your not exactly talentless.
Forrest at one time beat two guys back to back who were ranked #1 in the world to become the undisputed #1LHW in the world. That takes talent and lots of it.

Looking at the news it says Rashad wants to fight Machida bad. But can't until 2013.
So maybe Rashad/Machida
Forrest/Hendo
