Anderson willing to fight jon jones

http://sportv.globo.com/site/eventos...l#canal-sportv

Translation:

"People are talking so much about this... I don't have intentions of fighting Jones, there's nothing driving me to it, since there are other athletes in my team, like Rogerio, Maldonado, Feijo, that fight in his weight. My weight is 185, that's my title. But people talk so much, and in the end we are UFC employees. Sure, I can say I don't want to fight him, but what if he accepts the money Dana offers him to persuade him into fighting? It will be hard for me not to take the fight. It's not the money that motivates me to fight, I do it because I like it. So I don't know... I wouldn't like to do it. But, if it is to happen, it would have to be on catchweight. Not putting his belt on the line. I already have my own, and I don't want to hold a title to just leave it there."

didn't see it posted so thought id drop this.

That's actually a fairly big concession.

I don't see Jon ever taking the fight though. He'd never risk his stock.

Silva is protecting Jones in whom he sees the future.

I was optomistic about them not fighting but that comment right there will eventually get Jon to change his tune as well.

Well it starts the begining of how Jon and Anderson end up fighting. Dont want it to happen but SUPERFIGHT, HERE......WE......GO!

I-ya,
I against I,
flesh of my flesh,
and mind of my mind,
two of a kind but one won't survive,
my images reflect in the enemies eye,
and his images reflect in mine the same time

Yup- it's gonna be just like all the AS/GSP debates on their potential fight...

i think a catch weight is not that bad actually, if it were to happen it would have to happen before jon got any bigger. i actually think jon could make 200-195 pretty easily, hes tall but he doesn't carry a lot of wieght. (compared to other lhw.)

It's possible that the same way Jones' words got twisted around about Rashad that this gets twisted around and offends Jones. All it takes it Jones to take any offense to it and the door opens up.

If AS is so concerned about Jones' belt, why don't they just do a non-title fight at LHW?

I mean, what's another five pounds?

Might be easier to explain the title not being on the line if it's at a "catchweight". If he happened to lose then people could say Jones isn't the LHW Champion since he lost at LHW. But if the fight technically isn't at LHW then you can still call him champ. I'm NOT saying this is my line of thinking, only that it could possibly be Anderson's line of thinking.
