I'm all for keeping people their jobs.

If it was a better idea to go by rankings we could just throw stats in a computer as it shits out our matchups.

A lot of people want Phil/Bader. How much higher in rankings is Bader over Forrest? 1, maybe 2 spots?

I love how so many people hate Forrest. It makes no sense. So he hates losing and gets disappointed in himself and makes a fool of himself. How many other people do that? Plus he is just a big goofy guy he doesnt mean anything bad toward anyone. Phil isnt known for his knock out power so I see Phil grinding out a decision or maybe Forrest will be able to keep it standing and throw a ton of punches and keep Phil at bay. I think people forget how big, long, and lanky Forrest is. While Tito was def past his prime he stayed competitive in every one of his last several fights. Going to decision with Machida, landing a few shots on Evans, and Lil Nog and tapping out Bader. He lost fair and square but he wasnt completely out of any of those fights. Im not a Tito fan boy either I dont even care for the guy. Reading this forum sometimes is a chore to get through all the crap. Anyway I think Davis and Forrest will be interesting.

So Sonnen gets to duck Forrest, a guy who beat him already at this weight class, by going on the show Griffin helped build and getting a shot at the most dominant 205er in years while Forrest gets IMO a tougher prospect(Davis>Sonnen) to face in one of his last fights? I like Phil but I'd rather root for Forrest just because he's getting the shaft here. I'd watch a TUF with Griffin/Bonnar as the coaches because the banter between those two would be awesome! Plus, it would only make sense for them to come full circle as coaches of TUF and duke it out one last time before trotting off into the sunset/commentators box. Am I the only person this makes sense to?

No, it makes a great deal of sense, and I support your idea.

However, money talks....

Fedor, Mir, Lytle, Serra, Hendo, Chuck, Minowaman, Maynard, Forrest, Hunt
Pickett, Cerrone, Matt Brown, Bisping, Weidman, Barnett, Lawler

Davis will come in as a big favorite (~-350), but the fight will be really close and Forrest will probably win. Bank on it.

Forrest has a tough fight on his hands here.

I don't think Davis will have an easy win; but this is a bad match up for Griffin.

Forrest doesn't have the power to end this on the feet.He doesn't have the TDD to stuff Davis the whole fight; and finally, he just doesn't have the chin to take a ton of GnP.

Cardio and technical striking could give Forrest the UD win, but I wouldn't bet on him.

As much as I like Forrest (hard working humble guy that has to train twice as hard as most fighters), I just don't see a clear path to victory for him. Never going to count him out (thinking Rampage and Shogun here), so here's to hoping.

War Forrest!

Always supporting:
Forrest
Machida
Wandy
Velasquez

Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones is the best match-up the UFC has ever been able to arrange. Here's to hoping it goes down.
