One kick to the knee is all he needs.

I really wish from all my heart that Condit flushes GSP, and wipes the octagon with him. Or at least defeat him and take his fu*****ing title!

Bring WAR Carlos please

This fight is a win-win for me.

I used to LOVE GSP. I live in Canada and like 6-8 years ago he was really the only guy we had representing us on the world stage in MMA and he was an absolute KILLER. He used to rip guys to bits.

I used to LOVE Carlos Condit. He was a no-nonsense KILLER who went toe-to-toe with everyone and never gave up. He was on a smaller stage, but real MMA fans knew who he was and what he was capable of doing.

Then after the Condit-Diaz fight I lost all respect for Carlos. Not because he didn't 'let Diaz beat him' like a lot of people say, but because he sold himself out.

He didn't sell his fans out, he didn't bitch out, none of that. He sold HIMSELF short. He was perfectly capable of going toe-to-toe with Diaz and making it possibly the best fight ever. Two WW killers in great shape with great striking who put on exciting fight after exciting fight and were finally getting a chance to main event a UFC together and show the world how amazing MMA can really be and that the new generation had finally arrived.

And instead he decided to run away and play the Greg Jackson bullshit and ruin not just the fight, but his entire reputation.

And GSP, after losing to Serra, completely changed his gameplan and now fights not to lose instead of fighting to win.

It's been a long time since the second and third Hughes fights, and a lot of newer fans have probably never seen them, but they were imo the pinnacle of GSPs career. Absolute take no prisoners everything and the kitchen sink assaults on the greatest WW champion of all time both topped off by stunning stoppages.

Both these guys to me are like fallen idols.

And I know this fight is going to be a boring clusterf*** of GSP trying to do what Rory did to Condit and Condit trying to run away.

Whichever one loses, I don't care, because it will be my pleasure just to watch him get what's coming to him.

@ Above - I thought his fight against Diaz was incredible. That was one of the best technical striking game plans I have ever seen implemented; and it was done perfectly.

Back to the topic: Condit vs GSP is too tough to call with any real accuracy.

-How is GSP after such a long layoff and surgery?
-Will Condit be able to land before GSP gets him down?
-If GSP gets Condit down, how well can Condit do against the best wrestler in MMA today, off of his back?
- Without their head coach (this was actually a huge win for the fans) how will each fighter game plan to win?

If I had to call it now I'd say it depends on how GSP looks in his return. Vintage GSP takes Condit down at will and grinds out a UD. If GSP is not firing on all cylinders, Condit with the TKO in 2nd or 3rd round.

Carlos Condit Looks to Play Role of Stalling Again at UFC 154

I was MIA from the forum when Diaz/Condit went down. Were people not impressed with that fight!?!?

Several comments about Condit stalling or being boring have been popping up. I thought it was a badass fight. /shrug

Everyone expected Condit to go toe to toe with Diaz. It was billed as a war, and everyone expected it to be barn burner. Also, no one expected a decision.

What we ended up with with Condit playing a very smart, technical fight to neutralize Diaz' offense with quick strikes then movement.

It wasn't that Condit did something horribly wrong, it's just not what the majority of us expected it to be. Since Diaz showed up with his usual style and Condit is the who who adapted, he got the blame.

My problem was that Carlos, this "natrual born killer", was building it up as a war and I believe he said that he was going to knock Diaz out. As a talented and confident striker, he should have at least attempted to back up his words, but instead he refused to engage and ran off the clock. I think anyone should do that against a Diaz bro because you'll probably get KOed on the feet, or subbed on the ground. The issue is that Condit himself acted like that wouldnt be his gameplan, and made it very disappointing for both his and Diaz' fans when he decided to fight with avoidance tactics.

I hope Condit tried to fight tactical again and gets smashed by GSP. Then he thinks over his and Guida's fights, realizes that he should just go back to being the natural born killer, and we get to see Diaz Vs Condit the way it was supposed to be.
